|  HH esc getting hot ??
Holmes Hobbie, 13 turn torquemaster, bec, gearing is 56/10 32 pitch and 3 cell lipo, esc getting hot 170 temp after 1/2 hour of crawling but cruising down trails it around 70 deg , both checked with temp gun. Checked motor crawling and cruising around 80 deg. Would gearing down even more help with esc temp, or should I change motor ? Also this set up is in a wraith.

Do you use the internal BEC or an external one... HH ESC have some problems with their internal BEC |

13t Torquemaster or Crawlmaster? If TM I'm surprised that hasn't gone up in smoke yet. 13t TM is completely the wrong motor for a Wraith. Be hard to get a low enough spur/pinion ratio for that. |

Gearing will be great with Crawlmaster, could possibly even go up a couple on the pinion but check motor temps.
