| Sidewinder 3 esc heat and motor plug question
Just got a castle sidewinder three ESC for Christmas. For the motor wires i used 4.5 mm I think bullet connectors and They plugged in the esc fine but I noticed castle makes a pasific castle connector for the esc. I'm not having any issues other then the esc heats up a little you can definitely still hold your finger on it no problem tho. My question is if Anyone else has heat issues at all with this esc and also if it's ok to not use castle pasific bullet connectors. I'm running a tekin 35t hd if that matters 15/87 gearing and if a pic is needed that's no problem just say the word

You used the right bullet connector. No need to change anything. The Castle Connectors ( the ones for the plastic housing) is for the battery connection. If you can put your finger on the heat sink and hold it there for a few seconds, you don't have heat problem. A lot cost non-contact thermometer gun is a handy tool to have to check exactly how hot or not your motor and ESC is running. |

Thanks bud!!! I have a long list of tools that gets a little shorter with every Harbor freight visit, been working on a hard body and learning to braze lately all tool money goes to another clamp I need, somekind of glue, or more gas for brazing. The temp gun is definitely on there but not something I would use as often as other things. Thanks again for the help I was really thinking I needed those castle connecters u saved me some $$ |
