I'd go Holmes for a crawling, low-speed rig - and Castle for all-around use with running at higher speeds. The Holmes is quieter and smoother because of his tweaks.

I got an MMX and because I have dragged my feet building I feel a tiny pang of regret that this has come out - my ESC hasn't even been hooked up yet!

Will the Mamba X withstand being worked over in an Axial Bomber with a Holmes Puller Pro or a Tekin ROC412? It would be nice to the same features as the Mamba Monster X, but in a smaller package.

With a fan, yes. But I would recommend the monster. Did you try an update on the monster x the first of December ?

I did. The cogging is much better. But I have this odd drag brake cogging that has reared it's head.

Ordered the Mamba x and new bec from rpp during their sales. Figure I'll check them out since I sold my micro setup.

It's longer and narrow from comparing the dimensions with the mmp unless I read something wrong?

He's comparing the size to the Mamba Monster X, not the Mamba Monster Pro... which wasn't as large. Biggest issue with the Monster X was it's size - at least for crawlers that have limited space for electronics.

Oh....I would have never ran that in a crawler anyways. lol Now I see he said MMX...should have paid more attention.

I'm gonna try sticking mine on my Bomber on a WertyMade battery plate in front of the battery compartment..... We'll see if it fits. I'll make somethin' work out!

Got a couple of these on the way. Pretty excited to give them a workout.

Are these shipping yet?

If so, from where? Would like to support an RCC Vendor, if possible.

Yes they did. Took a week. Have one in a build I'm almost finished with now. Build quality seems excellent, connected right up to Castlelink after I updated to the newest version and the aux wire works great.

I'm waiting on our shipment. Have 100 of em on order.

These do come with a little sensor adapter. But no male bullet plugs, if my sample was indicative of production packaging.

Yeah I asked castle if they came with plugs told me no since their systems are plug and play told them that's great if they had a motor that worked for every application. I'm waiting for rpp to get theirs should be this week I hope.

Mine came in today. Maybe I missed it but has anyone figured out the amp rating?

About 150 amps. It has 18 fets , compare to the old style mamba pro with 12.
