Default Shortening wires

I added a second receiver box right by the winch in my rig to hide a battery and the controller in - I’ve got a good foot of wire just hanging out in there now. Does anyone know someone who will make some custom length wires for me? Needing to shorten up 3 wires to about an inch and then need to have a splitter made that’s no more than 2 inches long.

Putting on new ends or just cutting the wires and soldering them back together are fairly easy. Look at your local crawler/RC community on FB, there is likely someone there that will help you out. Your LHS (if you have one) will do this kind of stuff for you if you are a good customer.

Personally, I would leave them, an inch isn't that much and offers a nice service loop in the wiring if needed.

Well I would like to leave them but I have two more 9” wires I have to stuff in this box and I’m already out of room.

Depending on length, I just neatly bundle up the wires on the outside and hide them somewhere on the chassis with a zip-tie. But, 9 inches is a bit excessive, I would look at shortening them as well.

a zip tie and double sided mounting tape holds my extra wire loops, but like said in the thread you really wanna keep this as short as possible with maybe 3" of safety. Too many long wires can give you some resistance losses, and possibly even heat depending on what all youre running.

Those are nice, but I prefer ratcheting crimpers, makes it much easier without a third hand. Hobbyking has them and they have bulk connectors and servo wire!
