Default Help: Hobbywing 1080 problem

I have a redcat gen8 with a rc4wd 35t motor, hobbywing 1080, flysky gt3 and a 23kg servo. Ive been having issues where my car will stop moving and stop steering and the led flashes rapidly. I read that that was due to it not being calibrated to my controller. I went through the calibration procedure and it still happens. Thats not my only issue though. I also have an issue where the motor will get extremely hot after about 30 minutes of run time and lose a ton of power on a 2s lipo. I thought this was a bad motor so I swapped it with a motor I had on another crawler. Same thing happened today when I took it out I'm Assuming that te esc is toast?

To me it looks like a dead battery and tall gears. Are you crawling or bashing?. What pinion? Do you balance your lipo. Or is it nicad

If you crawl with a big pinion on 2s. The motor dosen't have the torque, so it bogs down, and burns up, going slow, or not moving trying to go slow. If you pull the trigger and the car can't move because it dosent have the torque, all that power gets turned into heat inside your motor.

I have a 17T pinion.and yes I balance charge my lipos. I've tried switching hinges batteries and it still happens. I'm going to try swapping out my hobbywing for a Novak rooster crawler I have laying around and see how it works with that
