Default Spektrum DX5C/SR6100AT issues.

Yesterday I finally took my newest build out for it's second run. The first run was short due to the need to reprogram the Mamba X so I didn't run it long enough to notice anything. After I got my new Castle Link and did the programming I took it out to run it. When I turned on the radio and truck I got nothing but flashing lights and beeping noises, no throttle, no steering. So I went and did a bind on the two and got my throttle and steering back. I take it outside and start running it and notice that while sitting idle the steering starts move back and forth randomly with no input. It would stop it once I gave it steering input but would randomly do it while under throttle. I tried to re-bind again, tried turning off the AVC, no luck. I eventually removed the receiver and put in another bound to a different radio and the rig functioned as it should. Any ideas guys? I really want to be able to use the radio.

Tto my knowledge turning off avc is not as simple as just setting it to off. But avc should do nothing if the vehicle is sitting still. Confirm the avc is off by tilting the vehicle while it's in the air. The steering should not function. If it does avc is probably still on. Google how to turn off avc on YouTube or Google. If steering dosent move, maybe set the esc to a different output voltage and see if that helps.

In order to completely disable AVC, you need 2 bind plugs. Put one bind plug into the bind slot on the receiver, put the second one into the next slot which should say disabled. Rebind your radio and receiver with both bind plugs in, and the AVC will be permanently disabled

And don't forget to do the throttle/brake/right turn/left turn thingy when binding...

Weird, yes. But you have to do that to properly disable and rebind.

I have heard you can turn avc down to zero on the transmitter which basically disables it, but its still on, it just corects 0%. Simply turning it off on the transmitter seems to leave it on in the receiver.

I'm going to be running the same combo in a crawler. Can I mount the 6100AT on an angle if I will be turning off the AVC? That's what my local hobby shop advised...

I just had this problem. You have to disable avc in the controller but you have to manually turn it off on the rx also. As soon as you power it on, hit the bind button 3x within 1.5 seconds. Problem solved. I have more grey hairs trying to solve this problem.
