| Unplug the cables to trx4 mini servos?
Hey! Im getting a new transmitter flysky Gt5 and recently installed hobbywing 1080 esc. My servo can handle up to 8.4 v so the new receiver, but not the trx4 mini servos to the gear and diffs. Can i just pull the cables and drive without them, i mean if i lock the diff and put the low gear on before unplug them will they stay in that position after i unplugged them? I want to do this when im comp crawling, but in winter i need the extra gear and diff for trails. What do u think? /Thanks! |

Yes I just poped off the connection and used a bit of tape to keep the cables pulled to the lock position Sent from my SM-G973W using Tapatalk |

I locked out the front servo on my TRX6 with some split fuel tubing and zip tires, works great. Check out post #25, forth picture... Greatscott's TRX-6 |

Zip ties can be used to hold the cables in place. If you want to use them pick up an exteral BEC and a bypass adapter (Hey Ok makes a BEC with a built in bypass adapter) With those you can send 8.4 volts to just the steering servo and let the receiver power the shifter/diff servos at 6v. |

Oh great tip to keep the cables in place so i dont mix them up. Didint think about that, but my question was more like will the gear stay in low and the diffs be locked while i drive with the cables unplugged? It might be a stupid question but im not so great with electronics etc |

Just make sure to lock em before using the tape or zip ties.

if you set the servo to the full unlocked position and unplug it so it stays there or push it manualy as far as it will go 5hen take the servo horn or what ever moves the cable off and move the cable to the locked posision then put the servo horn back on then the servo wont back off at all just remeber to take the servo horn off before plugging it back in i like the bypass idea better though |
