Default Looking for horn sound (as in beep, beep, get out of the way)

Any such thing out in the market? I just want the horn sound, no engine noise, etc. so that rules out ESS, GT Power and the likes.

I do realize that the frequency will be kind of high due to the physics of the size of the speaker/transducer. It will be operated on an extra channel.

Yup, I make one. It's kind of lame for a horn sound as it is just a piezo buzzer. Beeeeeep. It's pretty inexpensive though. Sent me a PM if I can help.

Thanks,
Al

I seem to be missing my notifications - I used to get an email when someone replied to a thread. Hmmm...

Sorry, no video. I will try and get one built in the next day or so and make a video.

I’m gonna keep my eye on this thread. Was just telling my crawler buddy on Sunday that a horn that can be activated from an auxiliary channel would be so cool, especially with selectable horn sounds (old car horn, semi horn, etc). Of course a single sound would be cool as well.

I want to use it to entertain the kiddies as I do my exercise by light trailing about the park/lake/reservation/etc. Who knows, they might take up rock crawling!

Got my boys (6 and 9 now) TRX4 Sports 2 years ago. Took them to several parks & hiking trails and it’s really been fun. They also go to the local track/crawler course with me now and then and it’s amazing how good they can drive them! Good times!

Can you change the frequency of a pizzo hore, cause is should have dixie at the very least, ;P you could do this with an arduino nano, but even a nano is kinda big for an rc car.

Here it is. Very quick and dirty, but you will get the idea.

https://youtu.be/c57nPJKUqeg

Only makes the one sound. Yup, it's kind of lame. If you guys really want me to, I will look into something that can play a tune.

If I can make you something, please send me a PM or even better, send an email because RC Crawler has stopped sending me notifications for some reason.
My email address is mostlyal@gmail.com

Cheers,
Al

If your going for realistic...might as well get a motor noise also. The added benefit is that you can download up to two motor noises at a time. Yes you can have the Dixie horn download as well. That is the yellow wire. You will need an extra channel to do this. If TRX-4...lock in one hub and disconnect servo....and get an extra channel that way.

My location squeezed in all my TRX trucks....under the hood...furthest forward...very loud if needed but I turn mine down to 2.

For a scaler that is doing easier lines this looks pretty nice. Kinda big though. I was never aware it had a horn.
