Brad Geck's repaint.

Also got a chance to see the Ecto in person today. The yellow is actually not that bad. It looks much better in person. Back the interior with black so that the light doesn't shine through, and it's actually a pretty nice looking body.

That is a top tier paint job, right down to the details. My go to rig these days is a silver Power Wagon with matte black accents. I love the combo.

Another one of Brad's masterpieces! Looks awesome!

Definitely agree on backing the body with a darker color. Can't wait to pick up one of these bodies!

So is the Ecto running the Electronics plates/floor boards from the Gatekeeper or the Sendero? How narrow is this body?

Gatekeeper, it's got the mounting holes for the trailing arm.

A bunch of stuff got pushed back for all manufacturers it seems. I think it's coming out in July though. Body is out already.

I ordered the body ( clear ) and will see how it mounts up on my current Gatekeeper. The Gatekeeper cage is pretty heavy and I can feel it pull on the side hills.

Any one get there hands on one of these yet? I’m ready to pull the trigger on a crawler and debating on this or the TRX sport kit.

I just received my Ecto. No time on it yet - just pulled it out of the box. My initial opinion is... supple shocks stock, flexible suspension stock. Quality looks good. My Enduro Senduro has been very capable and dependable. I feel this rtr will be also.
My MO is drop one tooth on the pinion & lean the shocks, plus 3S. 5.7 OD is a definite plus.
I have wheels & tires for it from new. I will wait for an appropriate body to come along as I have already done the Powerwagon & Cliffhanger bodies.
I read others are not so thrilled with it (pre release) due to the body & the latest trickery from other brands now coming out. ...But I think it will be a good basic rtr.

I ask which of the two is better on climbing rocks, this Ecto or Sendero HD? What do you think?

I am building a hybrid Ecto (Enduro builders kit with 12.8 WB conversion and GKS front suspension and panhard) so don't take my word for it yet!

Judging by all the responses and vids out there you can't go wrong with the Ecto for climbing at all! As an RTR it's by far the best bang for buck

They are the same platform with different rear suspension parts and wheelbase lengths so either would be fine. Just choose one you like the looks of

Based solely on the body the Ecto should do better because it wont get hung up as easily, it has better approach and departure angles.

I like it! The Army Green looks good!

I'm still hoping the clear body comes back in stock soon!

I like the look of that so much that I would probably keep it on the shelf to look at, since I don't need another truck to wheel around. Or, if that painted body were to be made available, I'd be happy to get just that and mount it on something I already have.

They do offer painted bodies of their RTRs, so I'm hoping that will be the case for this. Preferably without the body holes.

I know right! This color is so hard to come by if you want something that's for lexan.

I'll never get over the lack of simple spray cans of earth-toned Lexan-compatible paints...

The go-fast crowd seems to be forever stuck on neons, candy-metallics, and iridescents from the '80s!

And no, just providing airbrush paints won't cut it - sorry Pro-line.
