This thread is one rediculous testament to the Berg/OCM's strength. Can you imagine what this thread would have looked like in the Axial section after a few months....... I replaced all the stubs before mine hit the ground. Replaced the knuckle bearings with rubber shielded units due to the failure I had heard of from the SERCRC guys. So far all I have done is broke other none axle related parts due to the axles being SOOOO strong. |

Yes it's true these axle are tough. The only reason I busted the pins off the dog bone was because the pins slid out of the cup will I was on the course. This binded me up so that I was unable to steer. I was trying to shear the pins off so I could get to the finish line. Busted the pins too late in the game. |

Anyone have issues with the axle stubs sliding out of the drive gear? In otherwords, one wheel losing drive and free wheeling? There does not seem to be anything but friction holding them in place, but then my Berg is 2nd hand and maybe I am missing parts?

| Check to make sure there are still 1-2 (originally white) o-rings stuffed into the cups of the outer stubs. These o-rings limit the moment of the inner shafts, not allowing them to pull out of the final gear. If you received it second hand, the outers may have been swapped out with AX-10s, and the original owner may have forgotten to put the o-rings in.

You can use the Blue spare rubber O-rings from Traxxas Shocks I've used these O-rings on my stub axles after doing my quick axle shaft replacement mod on my TLT axles. These O-rings are identical to that of the Berg O-rings. |
