i got it out on the rocks yesterday and got to run 1 pack though it. all i can say is wow, this thing made climbs that i wouldn't have even tried with my tuber, only because it made climbs my tuber couldn't so i pushed it further. very pleased overall with it, and actually liking the 4" shocks. I will be giving the 3.5" shocks a go around side by side when they do come in, just to do i direct comparison, i cant imaging the thing working any better than it does already if anything the 3.5 shocks will weight less i was running 3.5 in the front and 4" in the rear on my tuber, and may give that a try as well after i decide first which size i like better. driving this thing almost takes the fun out of crawling , lol it crawls that good Last edited by rockbound; 05-04-2010 at 10:27 AM. |

Until I get sponsored can you tell me roughly what you think it would cost to build duplicate buggy?

Your looking at about $1000+ for a RTR rig like this with TX/RX Sponsored or not |

Even if you were to get sponsored (which you better be damned good and be willing to travel to most of the major events), It's not some magic deal where you're going to get a free crawler. You might get discounts on a few parts (that you already have purchased several of). The biggest thing is that team drivers often have access to parts before they're released to the public. quick update, i got the 3.5" shocks in and on, and i must admit my first impression is, i dont like them, the just dont look right, the links and skid dont line up right, took i big hit on belly clearance and articulation. but we will see how it performs before i make any concrete judgment and decisions. few pics comparing the 3.5" and 4" shocks, i can gain some ground clearance by standing the shocks up moving them closer to edge of chassis a hole, but that also sacrifices articulation. | |

Yep... those were my thoughts when I put the 3.5's on to try them out. It sidehills like a beast with them on though doesn't it? Everything is a trade off. After I tried the 3.5's I put the limited 4's back on for a comp last weekend. It feels better to me overall with the longer shocks... mostly because of the GC. |
