While I was rebuilding this front axle I decided to take some pics to show more of it. I was a bit surprised when I saw that the tube was sealed even when it was cut for a JR servo. Nice thinking on making the tubes a smaller inner diameter Bryan!

When it came down to installing my RCBro lightweight locker I had come to screeching halt. The guy who I bought these axles from had used red loctite on the locker screws. I had enough parts to build another locker so I decided to just keep the stock locker as a spare.

Here comes another screeching halt. No 3x3 countersunks!

I knew that the LHS didnt have any because I looked the other day and I don't have time to order any for this weekends comp so I made some out of some longer 3mm countersunks. Jeepcj578 showed me this little trick and it works great.

3x9 screw

with a 2mm nut

Lock it in a vice and get to hacking. I used a dremel. You will have to do a little fine grinding to get your cut smooth.

yahtzee!

Everything is just about ready to go. I just need to finish the panels, throw some wheels on this thing and I am done. As soon as I finish up my sammich I will be back at it.

It has been brought to my attention that I am skipping around on certain details so I will try to be detailed in this post.

In this pics below you will see:

T1E high clearance rear lower links
Traxxas Revo links for uppers
VP high steer Axial Knuckles/bored by JeepinDoug
STRC Slash front hexes

Fat Tire in a Schlafly pint glass
Oven roasted turkey and provo on honey wheatberry
Jimmy's Potato Sticks Louisiana wing sauce flavor

Here are the finished pics. All of the custom stickers are from Bowtie. (grill -headlights- tailights- name- rc chop shop)
There will always be a 86jeep sticker on my rig as long as I don't run out of stickers

Thanks, Tim.

Sure No problemo! They are Traxxas 2660's

They are close to these, but mine have a stronger shaft.

Thanks Greg. I'm just trying to keep up with everyone else. Sure it looks clean now because this is my second rodeo. The first time around things weren't so clean.
