And very nice one's too. With enough sets of guts to tune the motors like most mortals tune their tires

From one crack head to another.... Did you really think I was going to feed my family with that money?

Yeah, I cant wait to try them. I quit cutting my comms awhile ago. I just let the pros do it for me. Thats why I need multiple motors though, one out for rebuild while I am driving on the other.

Thats the plan. I cant wait to test them and see what I like. I bet I am one of the most finicky people about the way my car drives. If it is not driving well, I cant do well. My car has to be "perfect" for me to do well. I believe the car is 35/65 to the driver.

That's a pretty specific number! Do you have math to back it up?

Its pretty obvious that 30 is too low and 40 is too high. I didnt want to give my actual number as I thought that would confuse you guys, 33.3333/66.66666

Your wack bro

I think "rig" is to broad of a term? I think rig setup is much more important then what's on it. A $2000 3.75lb rig set up like shit won't work at all compared to a $300 6lb rig built out of used parts from the classifieds that is set up well.

So I would put the numbers somewhere around 50% driver/40% setup/10% rig.

If you REALLY want to get into it..

I consider setup and rig the same thing, just whatever youre driving. However, I could see the radio getting thrown into the mix of ratios but, I will consider the radio actually to be the driver, not the car.

I figured "beard" would be a sub-category of "driver. But your beard has it's own area code so I guess you have a valid question

Had the opportunity to see rig and driver from this thread in action. Honestly, both rig and driver are important but the combination makes all the difference. DLux has a good combo going.

It changes from summer to winter. Mostly, like TSK said, its part of the driver.

100% mental. Practice and a "perfect" rig are merely the result of one's pre-comp efforts to allay on course fears that one is not prepared. On course performance no longer then has anything to do with the rig if you already believe it can do what you decide. At that point it's about making all of the right decisions. "Trust your rig" thus means "Trust yourself".

A crawler wins, a rig crawls. If you're rig saves your butt it means you saved your own butt by preparing your rig. At the moment it saved you, your mind was just not at the level it was when you set your rig up.

We're all 100% mental.

I believe this is what makes kids so good at this sport....they aren't presented with the social fears of failing and nobody has told them that they can't do an obstacle with their truck.

Oh yeah, and the hand/eye coordination from numerous hours of video gaming helps a bit too...

Proper! And if they break it, they don't have to pay to pay to fix it.

So what youre trying to tell me is that Mr. Dog does not like fresh Rovers not because they dont work as well as a well worn Rover but rather because he cant mentally believe in them? A fresh Rover actually works the same as a well worn Rover but he chooses to not believe in them?

By that same deductive reasoning, Rock Claws work just as well as a worn Rover, we just dont believe, but if we did, they would?

I think you missed the most important part of his post....
