Thanks it was nice to meet you too.... I am a little rusty it has been three years since i have touched a crawler. In my two cents worth of opinion there is a learning curve to these light weight setups.

The truck done great the driver blowed the courses... it needs a better shock setup than the stock scx10 shocks. I did nothing to them just put mini-t springs and Dougs spring cups I didn't even know what shock oil is in them. It weighs in at 3lbs 6oz I think it needs a little knuckle weight so that it will settle a little better.

I've only been to like 5 comps in the few years I've had crawlers I've just always drove around just to see what they would climb... Lol your rig looked great I'm running 2.5oz of knuckle weight per side I got the vp knuckle weights for the vp 8 degree knuckles and ground them down to 2.5 oz they are like 3.6 from vp . I really like my BB shocks I ran scx10 ones on my last berg .

I think that maybe a little too much weight for me I am going to start with one oz per side I think that is all it needs. Gary "AKA" Slick tried two oz per side it was the Blue Monkey weights and it hurt his truck.

I got the Icon shocks today and i must say they are very smooth. I was going to make my own machined delrin pistons but after feeling the ones that came with shocks I will hold off until I can test them. i also took the preload nuts off of my stock scx10 shocks and the nuts that came with the new shocks and turned the hex pattern off. i then took them and jammed them together on the shock body's to keep them from moving.

I am going to test them with 40wt shock oil to begin with.

I finally got a good test and tune session in and after putting the new shocks on and making some knuckle weights I am very pleased.... this is the best rig I have ever had. The knuckle weights I made weigh 1.250oz and brought my rig up to 3 lbs 12 oz before I added the weight the rig would not settle and now it reacts and settles a lot better.

And I also painted another body.... I have gotten hooked on the airbrush and get a little better with everyone I do. Also after I made the brass weights I but them in a aging solution... I like the patina look.

Thanks... I cant wait to get a cricket vinyl cutter so I don't have to free hand cut everything. You can't tell in the pics but the flames have the carbon fiber effect to them.

You'll love having a plotter to use at home. It sucks having to ask the kids every 5 min " what the hell is wrong with this computer" but it's a life saver for sure.

I used to be a rattle can one color until it ran out and then I would change to another color until it ran out. Barry at with ClassiCutCustoms gave me my first air brush and from then on I was hooked. He is also a great painter he showed me a lot of tricks. Its like a lot of things the more you do the better you get.

Well anyone with that many pantera references in their avatar is a bud of mine. If you ever get jammed up on masks or anything, shoot me a pm. I'd be more than happy to offer any info I've accrued.

I also put in a set of machine wound Brood 35t motors I couldn't afford to get the hand wounds at the moment... I hope that I can send them back and have some custom work done to them after the first of the year.
