Ok, one thing I did change was my ride hight. I used Cboggs rig as my example. One thing I do not like after the change is how it seemed to firm up the shocks. Almost like they are stressed. I'll be spacing them out at the chassis later on this afternoon.

Shock bind solved. I returned to the reverse cap mod for these. Gives me desired ride hight, 12.5 spot on and a much smoother cycle. I also moved to 20wt oil in the shocks.

Rig is looking good I like those green rod ends
I'm way late on reading the thread…
subscribed now though

One thing i am seeing though and i might be wrong (cause it is a different chassi than what i have) is the front links look like they need to be flipped. To me it looks like you have a slight belly right after the skid. See how your rear links are flat with your skid... The fronts should be really close to the same line so that you won't hang up on a break overs as easy.

I'm certainly pushing it as far how low I dropped it in the front. I'm thinking if I raise it 1/4" in the front, all will smooth out. I also have that unused " tongue" to remove or bend in the front. Thanks for the in put ALL24

This is a pic I've been waiting on for a long time. This is full ride hight. I'd have to imagine that she will roll a bit lower under normal circumstances.

I'm stumped on a mini beetle to be honest. By the time I try to fit sponsor stuff on there, no room for creativity. Ha!

Thanks guys. I value all the opinions of all the OG wheelers on here. Lid gets attention tomorrow. Then Saturday I'll pull the rear motor to see why it's cutting out. I'm having a weird go with new vapor. I thought it could have been the gears or a bur in there but at slow speeds, the ass just locks up.

Links look good, the stance is looking spot on for the MarkII chassis.

Make sure the bolts holding the motors to the axle case is not too long.

Not being there, I have no idea how bad the hang up is. Keep in mind with new Berg gears, its more common than not to not have the gears run smooth. I cant remember ever having a new set of gears in any type of Berg case that did run smooth from the start. I have had to re assure many, many people that this is normal. After 1-2 packs they will break in and be as smooth as ever.

Just give it to me.

make sure you have a thin coat of grease on the gears and just hold the rig and run a few packs through it to work out the gears. Keep a close eye on your electronics and battery so they don't get too hot or get puffy.

Sorry for the zero update month. I found out what the deal with the rear was. The motor want built/ assembled correctly. The last day of frustration I pulled the motor and the end bell fell off onto the table. That is now all fixed. Tons of changes tho. For me, crawling is like golf. You need to believe in the equipment and be comfortable with it. So the metal stuff is gone. I'll be mounting the new 5D dominator ( I've named it the dominatrix) to my white Dlux axles from the Island Crawler build. They are tough and now I have spare parts with what I won't be selling from the metal axles. I comp Sunday and then I have 11 days to swap chassis for battlegrounds. I do have another set of axles that I couldn't pass up. I believe I'll be holding them at this point for my typical winter build. Here is my Dominatrix
