| Crawllifes Mark2 build
A few weeks ago Travis from the 5th Dimension asked me to be a team driver. It's very exciting for me to say the least. It worked out perfectly for me to start my first 2.2p thread. I've been working with Erik D at Dlux on some sweet axles. Please bare with me here. Skimming through build threads and looking at the shiny stuff in the pictures hardly makes anyone an expert at making one Here is my Mark2. It's made of black G10, aluminum cross braces, some sick Ti links bent by Marc at chaotic ( thanks bro!) and all aluminum hollow balls and hardware. Ti link sliders that need loctite once I know the lengths are good. I have to say at first impression I'm pleased with the overall look. I've been thinking of running a body for a while. Hell I paint so many, some times I'd like to do one for me. With this super low profile chassis, I think I can get a lid low enough to make one low cog rig. It works for the national champ anyways;). Next is my big hats off to Erik D. For what it's worth, that footer he now uses that reminds our community about his web site, well that's from me bugging him for 2 years for one thing or another. I should feel bad but I've learned a lot from him and owe him more than some accolades in a single paragraph. My axles consist of: Rcbros tubes Rcbros lightened gears Stock cases milled motor mounts and front motor relocation Bully front axle shaft Dlux V2 knuckles in brass MFD front mount Rcbros rear mount Creeper Bob Ti shafts out back Delrin hubs RR 13t pinions Hitec double sided horn modded ( killer idea) 7950 from hitec 30t brood vapors ( thanks Eddie ) Front axle total weight is 26 oz Rear axle total weight is 11.6 oz These were the first set of V2's to go out so there are some changes I'll snap pics of in a few. The carbon arms now come with a bevel and flat screws to accommodate more wheels from different manufactures. Much more to come soon. Thanks for having a look! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I also forgot to mention that I went with Erik's clear gearbox covers and BTM batt mount. Picked up some Gunnar pins for the rear and I also wanted to post a pic of the updated V2 arms. Hoping to have a wheel and tire update along with my shocks by days end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Haha to Erik's new sig... Looks like you got quite a list of quality items on your bench. Keep up the good wortk. I'm curious to see what you lid will look like for this bad boy. Oh and may I offer the suggestion of putting a locknut on before those upper shock rod ends. The locknuts will help clock down the cross braces more securely. Lastly for the day I do have my tire choices. Thanks to my newest sponsor EY Designs, I've got some cool stuff to choose from. First I have narrowed silver compound voodoos with 6" narrowed and comp cut foams ( thanks Eddie ). Soft front and medium rear. Second I have a set of " laalaa" or I believe EY calls them voodovers. I think there is a better chance of these going on my sucker punch build but the rock we drive on varies so much that it may be a back n forth season. Oh, don't want to miss the Ti negative space wheels that ready to roll on the voodoos. Thanks Trav! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This thread confirms that we have been screwed by you not doing builds in the past! Pictures look good, tech is there! One of the better looking build threads from the start! I am glad you guys can laugh at my pain (signature). |

Well it's true Erik. You got me through my first build from start to finish before I had even glanced at this forum. I couldn't figure out why you kept asking if I had heard of RCC! I'm building trucks not trying to learn computers!!! Ha! I owe thanks to plenty of folks, however every last thing we've picked up from your lab has been quality and come with killer customer service. If there is something I've left out on a section or you just have something to add, feel free. Now I'm getting back to work. To all you guys waiting on lids, I'm working on those to. No worries |

No major changes today. Just unclocked the chubs a bit and put the appropriate purple hardware in the gear cases. Also finished the green rod ends with the steering link Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So hard to keep up with all the updates. CTBM always does such a clean smash job. I have a pair of BR minis sitting here but after seeing the champs heatsink setup, I've been eyeing the pair of BRXL heatsinks that have been collecting dust in my bin forever. Next time I have my rig out, I'll probably eyeball how they would "stack up" in the skid. |

Please correct me if im wrong, but the way you have the bec wired only gives servo power when the esc is putting power to the wheels? Is that right?
