Hey man. Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Been super busy with work. So with the axle I had to save the two mm off each side to make it fit. Getting the axles in was pretty hard to do. I suggest to run a file on the flat sides a couple times. Nothing crazy and they fit right in. I ended up sending the axle to Erik and he finished it up for me bc I was having trouble with the knuckle. Turned out the bearing in the carbon top wasn't sitting right and had to file it out and it was good to go.

so wanted to apologize for not getting back to the build thread. I ended up hitting a snag with the front axle again and ended up sending it out to Erik. I needed to get it finished because i planned on attending the North East Monster Showdown. I was having trouble with the axles going in and then the knuckle not fitting right, sent it to Erik and he had it built in no time. He ended up bringing it with him to the Nems so that worked out perfect. I left Nj late friday night , took a little over 4.5 hours to get there. I talked to Jslick and told him the situation was going to get into around 11 and had boxed of parts. So he told me to come on by and was going to help get started on finishing the build. Got there a little after 11 met jslick , then met Bc-brian who held the comp, Nerby149 , Barrybelbevedere who all started helping with the build, we got battery plugs hooked up, rear axle motor mounted, axle on the links, Big shout out to them for helping late at night. Next morning the comp got pushed back because there was a crazy storm. Met everyone at the site around 8 and met Mr Erik dye himself. This guy is awesome with no hesitation took my rig and just started wrenching putting the whole thing together with in hours of the comp in the middle of this hurricane lol. Next up were the electronics we were having trouble programming the tekins so Troy Winnerone23 hooked me up with his awesome smashed br mini set up. Had tommy oliver Sic1to pull out his awesome butane soldering iron and soldered all the connectors on and got it up and running. I was in aw watching these guys that i literally just met that i would be competing against help me out so much, felt like we knew each other for so long. Well long story short haha got the rig up and running with Troy's son's mt4 and got to compete in my second comp. So after finishing up the rig Erik asked if i wanted to run with him and that was awesome. He killed every course he made it look so easy, i broke a few times but ended up being able to make top 10. Was on my way home when Jslick messaged me telling me. So i pulled over asked the wife if we can go back she said yes and we got a hotel. next day Hit the finals course , didnt get to finish but learned a lot ended up with 10th. I was super happy with the results, second comp ever with an untested rig built an hour before. The best part was being able to hang out with this awesome group of guys the whole weekend. Big shout out to everyone Dlux, Nerby149, Jslick, Winnerone23, Barrybelbevedere, Sic1to, Crawllife, and everyone else there. Thanks for reading

Here's some pics of the rig. Still messing with shocks and trying to get them tuned. Switched from 2660 big bores to scx10 shocks

Boss claws and SCX shocks now?

You should do yourself a huge favor and delete Troy from your contacts. He is holding you back.

So got the last of the parts in for this build. Got a set of shock cups from Fish's crawler parts and carbon collars from 149 r/c worx. After these parts and a little limiters these shocks look and feel awesome. Just have to do some testing and go from there.

Also I've been thinking about an axle battery mount for the dlux axles and replacing the battery mount behind the motor with an electronics tray. So whipped up this little gem with a bully 2 carbon battery mount and a piece of an aluminum servo mount.

That will never work... lol actually it looks good... I personally don't like my battery exposed like that.
I'd for sure damage the battery with it mounted out front.

Why won't it work? It makes room so I can have an electronics try in between my links. Winnerone23 runs his like this

I'm JK. I say it won't work because I wouldn't run my rig like that because I'd puncture a lipo and start a fire.(just my luck) But MANY guys run run their comp rigs with battery in front axle...
It will definitely work.

Is there a reason you didn't use a flathead 3mm screw for your rear upper link mount?

Here on my rear upper link mount uses a flathead 3mm screw.
Just wanted to know if there was a reason for not using a flathead 3mm screw.
