Yeah, I wouldn't add any excess weight to it for that reason, but it would be cool.

We called it AFOR for American Formula OffRoad but F'OFF has a nice ring to it.
Mine is an OFNA Hyper 10, Novak HV4.5 Big Can, MMPro and Sand Paws and a Hyperion 4KmAh 4s.
Before that video I ran across that water about a dozen times.
The rig has complete steering control in the water as seen in the video, the last pass it veers to the right and I correct it left back to the water's center.
This one was purposely built just to satisfy my hydro curiosity but it sadly smoked the ESC when it stopped in the video.

I'm not too sure how and Axial tranny will handle this type of power without all aftermarket parts, including an Al trans case to keep the bearing from deviating.

I'll have a thread on my Unlimited FOFF going up this weekend hopefully. This one is purposely build for water too, including internal buoyancy precautions (much deeper water crossings). A Platinum 4x4 Slash is the format.

These toys are crazy fun for me and I'm glad it's finally interesting others.
Nice!

Thanks.

Added the 4 link front and rear this weekend, as well as our OD ring and pinions. Drive train is a lot smoother now, and the suspension works better. Brandon and I shot some pretty sweet video this weekend. I will get that posted as soon as I can.

I'm not running foams in mine. I do have breather holes in the wheels too, and they seem to work fine.

No over drive in just the front axle? Soon as I get back into denver this weekend I'll post up my build: summit trans, K2-5 and wheely king axles

I tried it like that first. But, it didn't seem to make as big a difference at high speed, compared to the lower speeds of crawling.

Can't wait to see your build.

Do you have any trouble w sand getting into tires thru breathers? I never ran foams, but on my xxxt when i ran paddles, they would get enough inside to wooble pretty bad.

I do hear a little sand inside the tires, but it doesn't seem to be enough to throw the tires out of balance. Not saying it won't at some point though.

I do. The male shaft in glued into the female shaft that bolts up to the axle. When I do break driveshafts it's always at the transmission, so this way I just pop a new half shaft on the transmission side and keep driving.
