Sand gets every where. You are right on the four hole on top needs to be pluged. I also put grease inside the housings like a dam on each end (before the the first outer bearing). This keeps some of the sand out of the ring and pinion area.

If you start looking at videos there is a number of formula offroad held in rocky dirt or just gravel. I dont where you live. I wish everybody and masive dunes to play in. I am about 2 hr drive from Florence Oregon. Everyday the sand is differient.

I love the progression in this build. Really nice.

I just watched a video. Looks like you have an great place

Evan

Where and how much?

I am going to make my own beef tubes in the meantime and try to widen the axle at the same time using cut down berg longside axles, but i need a backup plan.

This build was a lot of help for me. Ended up looking freakin awesome slammed like that! Have a question for you. Who makes those hard pinned tires you had on it before? I have a lot of steep dirt fireroads that are too hard for my panthers to be of any real advantage and those hard pinned ones look like they might hook up pretty nicely. They look about the same diameter as the paddles too, am I right? Thanks

Salmon creek is real fun. I took my savage and my friends e-revo out there and put a hurtin' on some sand.
