You can build off parts from SS.com, or you can buy a complete assembled axle too Stock or fully modded to your specs.

Having TF/MF axles and having all the internals 1/8 buggy is a huge advantage. Parts are available at any hobby shop. Other than the housings of course. But they are for the most part bullet proof

Some progress with pics. I sloped the windshield back a touch compared to the 1:1 rig. Just looks better I think.

Hood off

and to give a scale comparison, cause this thing is good sized

Aww, come on! I don't have any Killians bottles around. I took them all in. Plus Miller Lite dosn't have GHT in it so it's better for you

Thank for the props though, I guess

Holy schnikies!!! I better get my ars in gear an get something put together. Seems I'm WAY behind the game here now. One thing I just noticed, not sure how or if, well it will affect it, it will be right or it won't. Should check the ratation of the motor as it is sitting 180* compared to a buggy/truggy. Better to find it now an fix then later when it's done.

Just flip the axles upside down

Actually I can't flip the axles due to the mid diff being bias to that side. I will just flip the diffs in the housings though

so are you gonna experiement with some gear ratios in your axles eventually, too? i would assume that with these being buggy based diffs, that would not be a difficult thing to do.

I think I'm going to try some 7000 in both diffs. I may run a spool in the middle

I'm gonna start with the stock TF gears which is 3.31 I believe. And if that is too tall I'll go with the 4.3. I may spool the hole rig

I can switch only if using the straight cut gears. The helicals you can't cause they have a, aw crap I can't think of it right now, Coast side and the other side Sorry brain fart. Been a long week already

Anyway got some more done, and got a box 'o' parts in the mail too. I need a longer rear shaft to get the 18" wheelbase I'm shooting for. May just have to lengthen it out myself Let me no what you think about the down tubes on the front. They are just tacked on so they can come off easy.

I run the front Helical gear on "Twin Freak" backwards with no problems
But thats for going slow on the rocks so cant say for the FOFF.....

Don't know if you really need those "Drop Down" tubes
Maybe small ones (maybe inch long) from the lower part of the windshield frame
at an angle to the hood rail

Either way looking good

Regards V8

I really don't need them. They were more for looks than anything. The EB I posted a couple of pages back looked so tits with the down tubes. I don't think they are working for me on this rig.

So, Morten, you saying I should keep them? I think I'm gonna drop them to the rear base of the shock towers and see what they look like. I'm still not sold on them looks wise.
