I detached them and The Saundo and I decided that they just don't work on this rig. That EB on the first page is just SOO Bad ass. SWEET is the driver of the MB I am modeling? Morten I am easily confused |

Thanks MJ. It's scaled down to 1/8 from the exact spec Morten sent me from the 1:1. Yah unless you have a garage with the Condo I would strongly say no welding These tires for now untill I get finished and tuning and then come the Panther Paddle tires |

Yup, 3.2's. Height is bad. Miller 180. One kick ass little welder. I'm used to a Shop Master 300 with a 22A feeder. All the power in the world. But this little guy I would HIGHLY recommend. And thanks It's kind of dead right now. Spare time is at a premium. Edit: sorry 180 not 185. Last edited by Bart bender; 04-30-2011 at 11:42 AM. |

Looks great man! The only question I have is about the gearing. You are probably not going to want a 40mph top speed. Im afraid you wont be able to gear it low enough with the big tires and center diff, however, i dont know what the gear ratio in those axles is. I figure maybe 25mph will speed would be about right for FOFF, but thats just a guesstimate. Have you done any calculating on the gearing? Looks great though! |

Diffs will be 4.3 and the center will be 48t. The RG is a low end motor and with my 007 pipe it should make good power down low. The Panther paddles I'm gonna run are a lot shorter than the Aftershocks that I'm mocking up with. I do have my fingers crossed too |

The axle ratio is a little lower than I thought it might be, which is good! haha I did some math for you using a 12t clutch bell. Lets see here. 48/12 = 4:1 x 4.30 = 17.2 final drive ratio I have a calculator on my computer that i made in excel. Just plug in the tire size and final drive ratio and a certain engine RPM and it will give you wheel speed. I looked up the paddles and they are 5.5" diameter. So I plugged in 5.5" tall tire, and 17.2 final drive ratio. 35,000 rpm = 33.3 mph 30,000 rpm = 28.5 mph 25,000 rpm = 23.8 mph 20,000 rpm = 19.0 mph That should be about dead on your wheel speeds at those RPM. That should be pretty close to where you need to be. Hope that helps give you a little better idea and looks like you'll be alright Maybe if you need to you can find a larger spur gear. I know they make them up to at least 62 tooth for some truggy center diff's, so if you decide you need to after running, you can still go with quite a bit more reduction id say. Keep us updated man!
