Lookin good! One things Dan and I noticed when driving his SPEED DEMON was the lack of width on the car made it tricky to drive. Esp on pavement... oh well you ran it and had fun!

Now if you can only get the dog to stop making your driving harder (LOL!) or is that a good thing?

Wider axles or some of your wheels would sort that out.

It's not the narrow width that makes it difficult, it's the lack of differentials. High traction and locked differs cause axle hop when turning, which tosses the rig upward & outward. Trust me. When I had "WHAT?!" running, that thing would flip over like crazy even with my low CG setup. Once I swapped out the lockers for open duffs (packed with the thickest grease I could find) that sucker became super stable. My plan is to run my super trick SCTE direct drive (which has a diff for torque split) and an open front & locked rear diff. The direct drive will be twic as fast with the same electronics package (no internal gear reduction) and it'll still have plenty traction to put power down.

it can depend what surface is being driven on though. in sand, loose dirt, mud, my foff runs fine. any hard packed surface it handles like crap because of the locked diffs and overdrive/underdrive axles.

i have an overdrive rear axle i can use, but its ok for trail driving, not too good on steep dunes. when i build my next foff, the one i have now will be a trail truck and i will experiment with open or lsd diffs.

Fitted the longer links to the front...

Link sizes now...
Front Upper 88mm Axial Rod ends , Lower 106mm Traxxas Rod end.
Rear Upper 91mm Axial Rod ends , Lower 106mm Traxxas Rod ends.

But by doing the front links the steering servo/axle came forward ..

So had to trim the shell as well..

Made some mud guards our of a old container ( Philadelphia cheese)

This should help keeping the sand from getting to the fan on my ESC..

High traction + locked diffs = turtle.

When it comes to exceptional performance on all surfaces, think truggy with 3 differentials.

Nice job on the wheel wells, how do they work?
I have a suggestion for the servo guard, Put a bumper on it.

The Wheel wells work great at keeping the sand off my ESC..

As for the bumper it's a good idea as I have a few alloy T-Maxx ones that would fit, but the bumper would move with the axle and
I think that would look odd...
Mite try and mod the chassis and see how that works out..

Hey Sean,

Sorry it has been awhile since I posted. This thing is looking Awesome ! I really like the scaler look. When things work out and I can get the paint job I am wanting on mine. I will be headed in the same direction. Here you are all the way over their and your build is done before mine.

Without question it will look even meaner then. Also the lower center of Gravity will help on those hill climbs.

it looks good Sean. as has been said, lower the body a bit and it will look much better.

also get rid of the shovels and stuff.. it looks like an expedition foff lo.... just imagining it flying across a desert somewhere, loaded up with fuel and water lol

Soon as I get a chance I'll be off down the beach with it..
Flying season has just started so I'm catching up with the Gliding..

Yeah... I'll remove the scaler stuff and the lights...
I've another scale build starting soon ,
so I'll be using the first shell for that and the scale parts aswell..
