| X2 Or post here I am always looking for updates in this thread Should do it at emerald pkwy that place has it all.. Mud, freaking awesome rocks, flat spots for pulling action. (I have a sled by the way if its needed) wouldnt be hard to prep a hill for some hill climb action.. Last edited by sloppy; 06-15-2010 at 10:55 PM. |

Yeah I think Emerald would be great, but Kelvin might have called that place for a King of the Hammers type event he wants to do. We just had a comp there and we all scoped it out, it'd be awesome for a TTC event. So we'll see. And yes, bring the sled! |

Hey what steering knuckles did you use (the blue ones)? I am wanting one of these and those knuckles look very nice. Thanks.

the steering knuckles are tamiya DF03. sloppy please correct me if i am wrong. i am currently looking for a stronger replacement. the tie rod and drag link are bending the passenger knuckle from too much leverage. i have been able to bend it back but it is happening every time i drive the truck so its parked until i find a stronger knuckle. i came across a toyota pickup from a previous TTC that had portal axles underneath so the extra set of portals i have may not find their way back under the original R1 chassis. the TTC truck was 4wheel steer IIRC and ive wanted a 4ws truck for a while now. more than likely our event will be a 2day event. emerald is definitely a possible location and the diamond down in johnstown. tom has been working on the tank trap location, and knowing him, it will be a doozy. |

KOH is pretty much a OSAS thing just race.. and that worked out awesome at emerald.. so yep in for that to Honestly I like KOH style way better then a TTC thing myself. especially if we are talking multiple trucks on the course at once.. I love passing slow traffic on the hard lines |

really like this picture. update on the axles: they have been holding up very well. no irregular wear on the gears. housing have taken a beating, but show little sign of it. portal gears show no wear. still very impressed with these axles. now i want Gmade to make another axle for scalers.
