| Chaotic Ultra4 gmade hybrid
I found this rig in the for sale section and knew that I had to have it. This is basically a continuation of tedo's previous build Found here... Tedo's 1.9 KOH build With some modifications of my own to make her fit into our ultra4 rules and also to prepare her for the beating it will receive. Here is what I started with... First thing I did was rebuild the spare tire carrier to strengthen and keep it straight when abused by other rigs. I then started building a new nose for it. The reason for these mods Is to lengthen the overall chassis length to allow for a longer wheelbase. All done and painted |

Thanks man. I'm really looking forward to driving this rig. I have always really loved the look of this chassis but hated the rest of the kit. Seeing a couple axial hybrids really made me start looking for one a few months ago. This one was perfectly timed, because I was about to pickup a new dingo kit to play with. Quote:
This next week is not a good time for me though. Work mixed with plenty of chaotic business Has me buried for a bit. Shoot me a pm in about a week or two and we will talk. | ||

I've heard the portals suck. I doubt they could handle the abuse we throw down in ultra4. Plus parts availability. I want to have a rig for both classes. This way I can run whichever one I want. Plus I seem to always have my wraith in limbo with something being changed. This allows me the time to finish the wraith without being rushed. |

good to hear on the weak spots. I have a Wide FJ build that would be completely topped off with a portal axle. only to match the 1:1. Thanks Tedo. |

My 2 year old son has just been dying to help me work on this rig, so this weekend I took him to the hobby shop and let him pick out a paint color for the drivers helmet.(I also used this color throughout the interior in small spots) I also let him paint just a tiny bit as well. I tore the interior apart and gave basically everything a fresh coat of paint and some mods to get it to my liking. I also added a new steering wheel, shifter, gauges, battery, and battery cables. Here is the interior all finished up. I've got a few more minor details for the interior, but those will come later. Then I started shoe horning my electronics in there and got it all word up and running. This might be the fastest rig I own. My wraith with the 4 pole is fast, but this thing gets down with its bad self. It's probably way too fast, but I like my scalers to be fast. |

I finally had time to mount up my new vanquish OMF wheels and ballistic fab reservoir shocks. I also got all my panels mounted. All I have left is to figure out how to fit dual 1300mah 3s lipos in here. These wheels are simply one of the coolest wheels I've ever encountered. But my god did it take some time to put all these screws in. |
