I have my vote narrowed down to two rigs. It's gonna be a tough call.

I've always been a fan of Dibble's big block buggy. BBC, Rockwells, cut 44" Boggers! Gotta love it! So to see it reproduced in small scale is a treat. HULK's rig is Awesome!

Esteban86K5's rig is equally impressive. The welds are super clean, custom axles, I really dig the body panels. Great truck! Wanna sell it?

No Problem at all. Good question!

Since it is a stick design and i wanted it to crawl as good as a stick i wanted to keep the chassis as light as possible. So i didn't put quite as many braces on it as i could have and i kept it narrow as possible to ride along the stick chassis. I wanted to keep the COG as low as possible. Plus i figured it may look a little funny with a big wide chassis on top of the stick. Plus it wounldn't crawl nearly as good as it does. I took it out today and it crawls AWSOME. Hard to tell that the chassis is even on there. Hope this answers your question. Thanks

Also Jason has updated the first page of this thread with more pictures and details on the rigs. So everyone can go back and review the trucks again. thanks again to everyone that participated!!!!! GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the props and YES, I may want to sell it.

I think the next comp everyone will probably take more serious and prepare for it more. I like the idea of taking a few rigs from throughout the year and haveing a best of year comp. Or maybe a catorgorized comp? Sticks with sticks, scale with scale and so on.

I really like everyones submission but would still like to see ALL the submission just to see-em.

Good luck to all.

Yeah i think both those rigs look good to. Are there any more pics of Esteban86k5's rig. Doesn't look like it is running in that pic. The servo wires are hanging and i don't see a receiver or ESC. Just wondering. Sweet tuber though.

I sent in some more pics to Jason of my rig RTR for him to post. Yes the first phase of my rig was finished before the buildoff, but the final finished product was done afterwards. I had no intentions of entering, but like I said before i was asked to so I did.

Great job to all of the finalist! I can't speak for everyone but, I know I've picked up some great ideas for future projects. Thanks for the inspiration.

Anyone know who owns #8? If I don't get his info he will be dropping out of the voting...

YEP THATS MINE! thank you

Vehicle name: TLT Inferno
Wheelbase: 12.25"
Trackwidth: 7" from hex to hex and 10" from tire to tire
Center ground clearance: 3.5"
Under diff clearance: 1.5 inches
Motor: Integy Lathe motor (with ball bearings)
Tranny: pede on a diet with an aluminum motor plate
Wheels: pede fronts single narrowed
Tires: moabs with half foams
Axles: tlt
Chassis: custom aluminum tube chassis with a aluminum center plate.

Other:
traxxas tq radio (reciever water proofed)
novak rooster esc
Hitec 645mg servo (water proofed)
6 cell 2/3 A saddle pack mounted on front axle
2.5 maxx shafts
high clearance rear links
40/60 links (actually more like 45/55)
All diffs are locked by relocating internal gears
it weighs about 3-3.5 lbs.

This truck is a fun little truck that can take a beating yet is extremely light and is very very competitive. The very first comp i took it to was its first time on the rocks and my first time at that and it took 4th place out of 12. I was very impressed with how well it came out. Its COG is super low and all the weight is below the tops of the tires (except the esc for wet reasons) It climbs amazingly and IMO looks really cool. I really didn't think it would make it to the finalists though but i knew i would be kicking myself if i didn't enter anything. Thanks for choosing me for the top 9. I am honored to have even gotten it this far. If i'm not picked for 1st place. Its no big deal cause i can always just prove its abilities at the ORCRC comps! My next truck (my original build off idea) will blow everyones minds...

kinda hard to really look at all of them since the build info is scattered in two pages or more.

maybe Admin or Moderators may clear or move the members remarks to another thread for easy viewing.

i havent voted yet coz i havent scrutinized the builds yet. if you do move post, please delete this post as its not that important anyways. thanks!

maybe you should put an add on the home page about the voting so people see it because alot of people probably don't even know about the voting.

Congratulations to the nine finalists:

Esteban86K5, Sparky J, Cole82, CSR, HULK, TwistedXT, SVEN, rcmfmaxxman, and Xtreme RC

I entered, but didn’t budget my time correctly in order to finish on time.
I tried to incorporate too many “innovative” designs.
Kudos to you guys for finishing on schedule and building some great looking rigs.

To all our members: vote for your favorite rig or be left out.
