Skippy is always building and selling. See if he has some, though, for $70 through ultimate hobbies, the kit is an awesome deal. You get TONS of extra hardware.

Here's some photos next to stock nylint. It shows the axle clearance I have gained. Not to mention length and width

That's awesome, I'd love to see how you set up those portals. Are you using them on any other rigs, like maybe a Clod or TLT?
Is this what you're using for the portals?
Maybe this one for a Clod or TLT?

They are similar to those only they are 2.5:1, I'm researching a new design for clods (machine them myself since I don't think those airplane gearboxs can handle the power and weight) I'm thinking about building back up axle in case carnage happens while away from the home course. If I do I'll think about doing a write up.

Took her wheeling today on Hank hill, she sticks like a goat. Even took a 20 foot roll with no problems. Conquered lines that have not been done yet. I've got better camera working on pics.

Default new little one

Got up this morning and believe it or not the weatherman was right 2 inches of snow and still falling. Shop was a little to cold for working. So I noticed my new parts truck and decieded time for a new project. Wanted to make a little crawler (comp style 1 seater) built a tube frame and 4-link mounted bigger and softer baja claws. Just need to add electronics, body panels, couple more tubes for looks and paint and she's ready sorry for crappy sidekick pics

Why yes they are narrowed imex claws. A friend gave them to me that he got with a goliath. They look like the nylints claw only stickier. I'm excited to see how they do. I had to take apart 8 nylint tires to make the rims. So I have some tires with no backsides if anybody wants one for a spare tire let me know I'll let you have one.

I thought so, let me know how they do. My lhs has those suckers in stock and I'm sure I can wheel and deal for them. How tall are they anyway?

They measure around 4 1/8", as soon as they snow melts its testing time. Laid down some paint and panels. Here's some pics:

The course behind the house has a lot of vertical technical climbs that favors more cog than gc. Any weight up high and your on your lid on this course. Hopefully with the front and rear lower control arms placed closed together will create "skids" to slide on (that's the plan anyways, won't know untill snow melts)

Default clearance

with the front links mounted to the sides of the axle do you have any rubbing while turning? or are those wheels off-set enough to keep it clear?

Yeah I've got quite a bit of off-set on the wheels to clear (I'm assuming you speak of the little rig)

Default I've done it!!

Wheeling some hardcore lines in the "Dungeon" heard the dreaded Nylint "pop" and sure enough stripped a tooth on the axle gear. You guys got to know me by now that this means modding time. So I'm finishing up on my heavy-duty metal gears with support bearings. Of course its a pretty involved project. But some good news I've came up with a double gear mod that is easier to accomplish.
Here's some crude pics:
