Holding up great besides 15 year old esc. Ordered a rebel 2 should do the trick. Took her to the last comp. was doing well (2nd on one course in fourth overall before she fried out for good) despite malfunctioning electronics. Of couse no video (I don't think some people want to show it)
How's your project going? Do you finally have scratches on that pretty thing?

Sounds great, doubt that video will ever see the light of day. My axles are doing great so far, no problems since I took out the yellow gear, the black one holds much better. And YES, she's got plenty of scratches! I think the paint just sees a rock and jumps off!!

I got a question, how do you like the trinity motors? Is there a significant difference?
Now that my axles are holding up no prob I am thinking about more power but don't want to spend a bunch on new motors if there is only a minimal difference. Thanx.

The Trinitys are a drastic change tons more wheel speed I'd recommend them. The only mods you have to do to get it to fit is to shorten the motor shaft and remove a small amount of plastic out of the screw post on axle housing to fit the endbell.

i raced micros this last winter and those motors are tough on brushes.as the brush wears it also wears the comm. i dont nkow if your getting the rpm out of the motors you do in the micors(doubtfull) but its one thing to keep in mind.

get bent, did you do a write up on your mod ? i seen the pics but can recall.i know you were talking about putting in a tamiya gear reduction as well. did that ever happen ?

thanks.

Just use them for comps and at 19.99 its replacable every series. Except now I'm eyeing either Fantom mini-max or Beast Barracudas(takes more axle case work). Remember though these stock planetaries aren't designed for to much power. I'm slowly throwing more at it in steps to find their breaking points.(so far the are surviving the trinities with no problems)

Those are probably Trinity mass termination motors (even more power). I'm running the Trinity Micro Monsters. I'm on a Sidekick so I don't think I can link. Search Tower under micro motors. You'll see the motor I'm running on there for $21.99 the also have a monster wild for $5 more. There is a lot of new micro motors availble except most of them have bigger cans although listed as a 280(baja,fusion etc..) not to mention more $. The Micro Monsters definatly spin them planetaries a lot faster than stock so any more speed or power will probably blow them apart. Hope this helps.
Thanks Dana44 I appreciate the positive feedback!!!!!!

Thanks, I found them on tower. I have a baja big block for the mini t and was playing around, looks like it will fit, wonder how much more powerful it is than the trinity micro monsters.

Here's some specs for you:
1st number power @ rpms
2nd number rpm @ sec
3rd is torque
4th is efficiency
Baja
1. 20.94 @ 9225
2. 17438@ 6.3
3. 401 gm/cm
4. 39% at 12726
Trinity
1. 14.59 @ 8322
2. 14573 at 6.8
3. 290 gm/cm
4. 17% at 9698
So you can see the baja is better all around. The efficiency is really good!
So if you already have one it would be worth it to get another one and stuff it in those axles!

^^^ I really appreciate your help, I think I will try the bajas and hope the axles hold together!! I will post after I try it. I just started work on a nylint stick so it might be a few weeks.

Hey wanna go crawling some time? I'm loaded down with classes this week, but maybe next week or finals week (the following week) we could hit up horsetooth or something. I actually don't know of any really good spots, but since I missed the comp I'm itching to try out my truck... just gotta fix the driveshaft... PM me if that sounds good.

Default Portals

The portals are sweet!!!! Great idea!! Need more info on them and has anyone else built portals for their nylint? I need to know more because I've run out of mods to do to mine and portals are just what I need.
