All I have to say is that with these axles you build the rig around them. They look great, can't wait to see where you go next.

We started with a VP housing as usual then machined a new long side steel tube. Used a Dinky Rc "s" link again and proceeded with chromoly tube to build the winch mount and skid

Rowdy wanted to go further with the shave mod. Was able to get another .100" out of the diff. Any further will compromise gear integrity. These now have .200" more clearance than a stock housing before plating.

Removed .180" off the OD of the under drive ring gear.
I don't have any countersunk 2-56 hardware for the skid but it's ready to accept them when they arrive at their destination.

Just curious, do you do anything that is more narrow than a stock scx10 axle?

I could make them as narrow as a pumpkin and the link mounts. Basically a dragster style rear end.

All the internals from a Wraith diff will swap in. I say Wraith because you need bearing caps but others than that, any Axial differentials and gear set will work. Shafts are short side XR. Uses Wraith lockouts or c's and knuckles.

So this is basically the same width as a XR modded AX-10 axle?
