| Thinking about getting back into scale crawlers?
I was into crawlers about 4yrs ago. and just recently bought a traxxas summit on the spur of the moment from a local buyer and took it out a few times to bash around and found myself doing more crawling than anything,I forgot how much fun it is! While I think the Summit is a fantastic truck, decent speed and crawling,I just really miss the scale look. Last time I was into it I bought a comp crawler and got into comps a few times and it was fun but I fell in love with scale trail. I ended up building a frame and some components and using axial trannies and axles,Im not looking to build anything homemade this time,I dont mind to build a kit,or a RTR,but what would be my best bet for some scale crawling? Im guessing a axial kit? I see they have a bunch to choose from and I been out of the rc crawling scene for sometime,so which one? I see a local guy is selling a new axial dingo kit local for 200? Good? are there better kits? Is there any difference in them, like the honcho or the dingo, just different bodies? Last edited by ProfitOfDoom; 04-06-2013 at 10:44 PM. |

A dingo kit for $200 is pretty good. The kit goes for around $250 new with no electronics. The axial stuff is great to get going with. Pretty capable and the mods are endless. The difference between a dingo and honcho is the body, wheels, tires, wheelbase and that the honcho comes RTR and the dingo is currently kit only. |

200 is great depending on the condition of the rig, ya buy it, they are very easy to change and adapt bodies too that chassis making whatever kind o rig you want basically. Parts are plentiful and cheap for them as well. Thats a winner! LIK |
