Ok guys here's my question for anyone who feels like answering I currently have an scx10 dingo kit an ax10 deadbolt and the wraith kit ive mostly stuck with axial products have driven a few others and enjoyed them but I'm looking for something with a lot more articulation preferably a 2.2 size rig any suggestions on what to look at? Not necessarily an axial product I'm wanting to try something different so let's hear what you got

Lots of articulation is only good for impressing people that don't know that lots of articulation is impractical and hinders performance. Looks great sitting on a shelf though. |

That it might but I have always thought it looked cool and wanted something with like I titled the thread "more twist" I have been helping a friend with his clodbuster that I believe the chassis we just put on it is a clodzilla not sure which one it is but have had a blast helping him build it and love how much articulation that thing has and want something that will twist over the big rocks like his clod does

Your best bet would be one of the cheap Chinese rigs you can find on ebay etc for an off the shelf rig. Clod axles can still be found so if that's what you want building your own rig might be a better option.

Im not looking for a ready to run I prefer kits and although I have had fun helping my friend with building his clod I don't want that either im looking for a current kit I really like this but have no idea what it is this is what I'm talking about this is the kind of crawling I would like to do and I'm trying to also find out if these are complete custom built rigs or if they are kits if kits what make and model This is the kind of articulation I'm looking for I'm not worried about price if it takes me a few months to get all the parts together I'm good with that Last edited by rcracer18; 06-25-2014 at 10:42 AM. |

Those are xr10 axles . But that rig in the pic is no " kit " rig . Many awesome vendors here that can help you build a rig just like it . |

yeah, and Duuuuuuuude is right. I'm betting that XR10 doesn't flex near what you think it does... crawl, yes... 90 degrees of flex, no. Look in the Vendors section under Chassis. That sounds like what you are looking for... You'll need to buy/build everything separate. Last edited by johnnyh66; 06-25-2014 at 10:38 AM. |

Awesome thank you guys so much for the help are there companies on here I can go to to get every part I would need to complete the build I'm looking for? And just to ask is there a kit made that is anywhere close to the crawlers I posted pictures of?

Most of those parts can be purchased through vendors and some are made by hand. the pics you posted look pretty dated. Depending on what you plan to spend even close to build either of the rigs you posted will cost well over a thousand dollars....more like $1500...each. Your best bet would be to find a nice used rig, as no kit will come close to the rigs you have posted without some work. Last edited by BLKXJ 96; 06-25-2014 at 10:20 PM. | |

I don't see any fuzz here. Assuming "maximum twist" is the main objective and actual crawling performance not much of an issue then a shafty will do nicely! Just get any pair of axles and a matching tranny. Get (make?) a chassis that allows all links to run almost horizontal, and have the springs/shocks also at a relatively narrow angle to the links. Done! |
