Trying to decide on a new build

Hey all. So I have a set of tlt axles an ax10 trans and 1.9 crawler wheels and tires. I am thinking of making a rock bouncer/basher. The axles are locked and have been used for 10+ years. I know they aren't the best but want to use what I have. Thinking of brazing together a tube chassis using a wraith skid. Or scx10 skid. Not really sure where to start. I'm not good at bending tube. But I can braze no problem. Are there good how to's for making a tube chassis? Possible plans? On the Web I can download? I would like it to be fast enough to jump a little bit. But also crawl a bit. Thinking a 27t motor. Anybody have any ideas as to what I could do? Any other projects out there that could give me inspiration? Appreciate the help.

I'd spend some time reading up in the 1.9 section and try to build a Ultra4 style rig with some brake line or hydraulic tube, something fairly light. Don't worry too much about the bending, everyone sucks at first, just be prepared to use up a bunch of tube and don't braze it in until you're really happy with the fit. With narrower axles I'd recommend an SCX skid unless you want to run a 2 spd or dig specifically. Take your time and figure our what you want, you're the one that should be happy with this when it's all said and done.
