Not yet...but at this point I'm just going to get the newer scx10v2 when they release.

Why would it not be the same width as stock

And this is only the rear axle. The front is perfect.
Are you running VP's VVDs in front? I know they have longer tangs to engage the locker more, maybe this is why?

Anyone? Hello? I was real close to ordering one of these up, until I saw this.

I posted here, I posted in the "new ideas" thread, I called, I emailed... no response. I've spent a significant amount of money with them over the years, and their parts have been nearly problem free. It's frustrating when you do have an issue and can't seem to get it addressed.

I have an F9 in the rear of my Bomber and really like it. I picked it up in the FS forum. I've only put one pack through it but it was a hard trail run and I was pleased enough to consider ordering the front axle. I think I'll hold off a bit until there's a response from Vanquish.

I just went and checked three axles, all were within 0.005" of each other. If there is a F9 that's wider I'd have to get a look at what's going on. I can't see how it would bolt up and be wider since so many of the holes have to line up.

This is the first I've ever seen of anyone saying this. If you have details on what you're seeing, feel free to send me a message.

Measuring the entire assembled axle left to right, with no c hubs vs. a plastic Axial housing, my f9 is 2.5mm wider. Everything lined up great, although I did assemble it off the top of my head, the scx10 instructions in the bag were off a bit.

It would be nice if there could be some resolution to this. I bought a set of F9's & was told to check out this thread.

I contacted amain & they said no one's mentioned anything to them & they let Vanquish settle any issues there may be.

Day before they sent me a cooozy, $20 off coupon & a 5mm nut driver. for placing the F9, etc. order. FREE. I thought that was mighty stand up of them so I told them not to worry about shipping since this was on me. They sent a return slip anyways.
I'm above & beyond happy with amain for how they've treated me with this issue.

I'll be sending the front F9 back & go with SSD per an awesome member here who's taking the time to help me.

Thanks for your time.

if you dont acknowledge a problem, it isnt a problem.

i had to pay to get my curries machined after it became obvious that the problem wasnt going to be addressed... sent multiple emails and posted about it here in the currie thread, nothing but a reply about how to sand a bearing to get them to work.

That makes sense. The width is the same all assembled, the difference is between the bearings end to end. Pushes the axles out further in to the knuckles just a few mm. I guess running 4mm (3mm?) thick bearings on the end would slim it down, but that's crazy.

I just bought a Currie F9 for my Yeti, with the vanquish shafts, these problems you guys been having are with the stock axle shafts?

I have to say that never had any problem with the customer service of Vanquish already had problems with their parts and talk to them and always get answered in the same day, even today I had a problem with my sway bar of my RR10 Bomber and they replied 5 minutes after, I even spoke with dan wilson in facebook and he answered in a few minutes...

Hopefully it was problem that was resolved...
