Default Why wont my 32p spur mesh with my 32p pinion?

Hi All, Almost finished my long time in the build rc truck, just having some problems with finding appropriate spur and pinion combo.

There's very little room there, so atm the goal is getting whatever will fit. Currently I have a 56t 32p spur, and an 11t 32p pinion. It is not really meshing at all, every second tooth nearly hits the very top of the spur tooth if you know what I mean.

If anyone could advise me on what my problem is, and an appropriate spur/pinion combo that will mesh properly that would be great. Bear in mind due to size restraints I can barely go over a 13t pinion.

Also does the new style scx10 clutch assembly fit the older scx10 transmission? Cant figure out how to assemble it.

Cheers heaps for your advice.

Your pinion isn't 32p, it looks like MOD 1.

Looks like a mod1 pinion to me.

First, that 15T in the last picture looks like a mod 1 not a 32P so I wouldn't expect them to mesh.

My SCX10 runs 56/13 with room to spare so there are a couple things to check. Make sure the screws are going into the correct holes in the motor, that would keep the motor from sliding over enough. Are you running the plastic shroud for the gear cover? You may need to trim off the rib on the inside next to the motor plate.

The new slipper clutch does not fit an old Axial transmission because the topshafts are different.

You need a Mod 0.8 (mod , this is approx. the same as a 32p gear.

You have a Mod 1.0 (mod 1*).

**This is just a guess (haven't researched it, don't quote me), I think that Mod 1 refers to the 1mm spacing between teeth, and .8 mod will be approximately equivalent to 32p.

MOD gear pitch is metric, with the gear diameter in mm of module 1 being equal to the tooth count. So a 15 tooth MOD 1 will have a 15mm pitch circle diameter. Module gears are nice and easy to design around, if you have two 15t MOD 1 gears, the centers will be 15mm apart.

32 pitch is close to MOD 0,6.
