How about a tandem front axle with HEMTT body?

I admittedly don't know who Rich is (only recently invested into Crawlers) - but that doesn't seem like a flat out no?

Kind of. The rear most axle on the 6x6 is a low pinion, so you would need to rig the new front-most axle as low pinion. Main challenge would be upper link mounts is all.

I wonder what kind of other bodies Axial’ll be cooking-up. Axial’s Extra-cab keeping-away-from-licencing-issues pseudo Unimog doesn’t do much for me. I’d hope for some Hemtt or MAN-Kat like Truck-Trial body. They’ll have to cheat a bit with the scale, though. Those trucks are huge. More realistically maybe a lengthened sorta old power wagon body like the one that was on their first crawlers?

Oooff. Yeah. And given the eye-watering €785.- Traxxas wants for its 6x6, it’s most certainly going to be the Axial if I finally take the plunge for a ‘big’ 6x6 ( got several little 1/16 6x6’s from WPL and JJRC, but they réally are tiny) Despite my reservations about the body.

took mine out for it's first run today. very impressed, for such a big truck it crawls very well. ran all the lines all the other average trucks ran. it does take more room to turn around but that is no surprise. all in all I'm glad I got it it was is a fun truck and everyone in the group liked it

Enjoying my UMG too. A 6x6 finds more traction, easier than a 4x4. Good stability too. I ran a TRX6 about a month ago - not sure if the UMG is as good, but its good nonetheless.

2-piece driveshafts. Junfac makes a set for the 6x6. I went another route, but the driveshafts I got didn't quite turn out the way I expected. I'll be getting some parts that might make it viable soon so we'll see.

I ended up shortening up all the shocks....helps prevent the driveshaft for dropping out and rigs just performs better
