Your opinion i appreciate tremendously....

What options are available? What do you use for inside your crawler tires ? I see on YouTube Hair bun ... Does that work better?

I have no idea...

Anyone converted the Brushed 775 motor to Brushless ?
Im thinking convert to Holmes Puller Pro 1900kv 42 size actually.
I will drive this rig next summer at smal Rivers, it will have alot Water

I need Marine Grease the Bearings extra , have alot grease to these and other parts.
Then also use HD CorroX spray to other things

The only thing i dont like with this car is the driver inside with helmet.
I will change this to random driver without Helmet.
Maybe the Head only is possible change ? or is there fiqure Size info that fits? if i remember right the driver have no legs in this rig right ?
I have the yk4082 = 1/8 scale

1. The tires are very soft & sticky apparently they are very good quality & super good grip

2. Cockpit is all seperate items as per picture

3. Grease i use car SYNTHETIC LITHIUM GREASE in the 2 axels & two speed gearbox, and some SINGER sewing oil

4. I changed to aluminum parts: pinion mount ( i stripped a tread) motor mount (it flexed), shock mounts, bumper bracing (it broke), steering ARM was plastic & i broke it

5. I broke the following items already: receiver & remote ( my fault ), 4WD servo 19 gram, steering servo ( maybe coz i did not set the endpoint at first ), lost a driveshaft ( my fault i should have checked),

I stripped the C-knuckle plastic thread, i ordered many brass steering parts but kept the plastic axels, i will order 4mm helicoil to repair the damage thread just for fun

6. I just ordered 10 bearing of each size i could find in the manual, coz of rust & water in the future

7. i changed 90% of the black bolts to stainless steel bolts due to rust already

It's a very capable RC, but how do I know, it's the only RC i have, hi hi

i think this is great deal for me ?

how many dollars did you guys pay?

i have pay 100bucks today, it is now reserved. 85 british sterlings
i pay the rest 400bucks ( 350 Sterlings) end of next month when i pick it up
Thanks for the reminder, when i receive the bearings i will pack them all at once with synthetic grease, i always pack the bearings with grease, i even have lip-seal remover for my motorcycle bearings, ha ha

The sewing oil i put a few drops inside my fully filled axel / gear box with synthetic grease.... To make it a bit runnier or softer

I bought my yk4082 on AliExpress website for $ 550 usd, this included shipping from china to Indonesia

i installed a 32 Kg brushless steering servo, of a 100$ but i ordered 35 kg brushed servos that are super cheap ( also a aluminum bracket ) as the stock plastic flexed also, seems the 32 brushless is not strong enough... We will see

It seems i keep on breaking this darn RC but i will get to the point that it's indistuctable hi hi

I have to order everything online coz I live on a small island

3s / 6400 mah / 70c is a bit fast to crawl, so that is more for bashing, 2s / 9000 mah / 45c is more controleble for crawling

ive always herd just a drop of oil is all that is needed on a bearing
packing them with greese just creates drag on the bearing then the greese gets hard and crunchy then you toss them
if you use oil to lube the bearing just reaply oil and your good

Interesting... On car / motorcycle / marine environment we use synthetic grease to pack the bearings

The created drag by grease will be gone within a few minutes, synthetic grease will never go hard

I will try it out next time i open the RC up to install all the brass steering stuff

The variation between 120 and 130mm usually is because mounting the tires on a narrower wheel will make the tire a little bit taller, but if you mount them on a wider wheel it will make the tire a bit shorter.

The SCX6 is as follows:

Length: 33.55 in (776 mm)

Width: 14.88 in (378 mm)

Height: 14.55 in (370 mm)

Weight: 25 lb (11.3 kg)

Its tires are 7" tall!
Hi @durok & all members

Yet again i am in need of information and help, about tires, i found something i like ....

Original YK4082 sizes i have now on the RC
Tires Size: 135/50mm
Hex: 12 mm
Shaft: M4 ( so 4.5 mm diameter? )

What rims i like as per below

1. The tires i like are only diameter 128 mm not 138 mm = is this bad or stupid or looks wrong?

2. The Hex is 12 mm so that is a fit

3. The inner rim / shaft hole is M4 , so the rim is center hole of 5 mm, is that a problem? I understand you can order "inserts or bushings" to make them fit ? How does that work ?

Guys please give your opinion regarding the looks / sizes of the tires & rim below ... will it look good or bad ?

Also look the last picture 138 * 62 tires, would it fit better? Does anybody installed 10 mm smaller tires as stock before?

But there not as cool as the super swampers...

yes we do but not if the bearing is sealed

the drag lasts till the greese gets hard and yes sythetic greese dose get hard

about ten years ago i did the bearing packing trick too but after picking dry greese chunks out of my bearings i stoped the oiled bearings outlasted the greesed bearing and the battery lasted longer and ran smoother

Gentleman,

New brass steering & rear portals has arrived, beautiful quality

Only the wheel weights there are 6 holes not drilled trough,

I will install all items without the wheel weights, waiting for me to fix it, ha ha

Do i have to paint or clear laquire spray paint them against weather?

It was a lot of work, and the quality is amazing, perfect fit

It seems it's better handling, high speed turns do not flip over the crawler, etc ....
