Haha, thanks!

Added some color to the new fake mountain. Concrete dye and a potion of vinegar/steel wool that's been soaking for about a year.

I tried the vinegar/steel wool like you suggested on some rocks I have here, works awesome! Looks very natrual too.

Care to elaborate on that "magical potion?"
Or at least which page it was mentioned?
Thanks.

It's no more than a piece of steel wool soaking in a jar of vinegar. The vinegar eats the steel wool and makes a rusting solution.

I've been doing more playing than working lately. Nothing new added to Smiggin's Folly. Most notable of news, Imthatguy stopped by before heading to the ECSC last week. He brought some very nice trucks and we took turns holding beers and watching things.

And this was a video I made today of my 4Runner

The plants look like they are filling in nicely and really match the scale of the trucks perfectly. I'm always amazed at pictures that come out of smiggins folly.

The terrain just weathers and looks better each time you post a pic! It looks just like the Rockies or the Sierra Nevada's.

Dude, this whole thread made me laugh out loud. Those Land Cruisers are Beautiful by the way. I'm currently building a Yeti kit, but you Crawler guys are convincing me to look at the super slow stuff.

Glad you enjoy the humor. Tiny trucks are funny. And going slow is cheaper, usually.

You have the ladder on the wrong side! I'll take the bottom as long as it plumbed right and there is no leaks. Chaces are the person on top is going to fall off the deck when the door opens!
Very nice work on you ORV rc park!

I really with I had the room for something like this. I'd need a huge backyard before the wife would let me have something like that.

Unbelievable work and artistic talent. I'm sure Disney would hire you if someone there were to peruse this epic thread.

I'd love to add some trees to my rock pile, but my six year old would surely run them over in a heart beat.

Do you have a thread anywhere that shows how you weather, age and rust this stuff? Amazing work dude. Good job.

What stuff in particular? I'd be happy to share. Mother Nature does most of the weathering herself though.

Like some of your vehicle effects and maybe the propane tank. Those caught my eye. And is the barrel made from tuna cans? It'd be cool to see some of your secrets here or in a different write up.
