2.2 or 1.9 - What direction would you go?

I'm gathering parts for a third Wraith based build and I wanted to get some opinions from those who've been into this hobby for a lot longer than me.

I'm seeing a lot of guys shift from 2.2 to 1.9 and I'm not entirely sure why. Is it persona preference? More challenging? I've noticed a lot of comps are 1.9 based besides the Crawler comps.

Could someone give me a few reasons why a lot of members are showing more of an interest in the 1.9 builds?

1.9 Wraiths are more of a challenge to drive and a lot of people like that. They are lower, smaller and size wise the SCX10 axles are more scale to the wraith cage. I suppose the only downside is that they are only legal for C3 in SORCCA, but if you dont comp its no biggie.

I say build a 1.9er

I've had my 1.9 wraith for over a year now and it's the funnest crawler I've ever had.

Seems going from a 2.2 to a 1.9 is for personal challenge, as well as getting a fairer run against the class 1 and 2 trucks. Who would want to challenge a monster truck with a compact? Pick on someone your own size kind of thing maybe? lol

I changed my wraith to 1.9 tyres and SCX axles this year and I think it is much more fun to drive than with wide axles and huge tyres. And it looks so much better.

Besides it feels like its performing better than before. Might be the lower CG or just my imagination.
