OSRC has the correct info. Ripmax is new owner. This was announced a while ago.

Be it the HPI or Tamiya version, I'd like this body a lot more if the tail & marker lights were separate pieces. The OCD makes me dizzy just thinking about decaling those things & how long or little the best efforts will last before it starts to peel up & look like ass.

I'm not 100% sure on this but I thought it was Kingstar used to manufacture both Axial and HPI.

Anyway it doesn't matter now as they have both got different suppliers now probably.

Sorry I missed you out there. Such a great event. I do recall seeing your rig on the trail.

As far as your “facts” and “credible source” go…just a bunch of gossip, rumors and fake news

I still have a friend at HPI UK, and he confirmed Pre-Orders are happening and they are moving forward.
-I tried to get dirt on some forthcoming bodies.... but he stayed tight lipped!

Tower has 4 other new release products from HPI in their email this week, 2 of them 1/5th scale, 1 of them 1/10th, and an XS Savage Flux with a Vaughn Gitten Jr paint job.

I would think this points to them being pretty much coming on full-steam ahead...

This thread just proved your "insider" is either not in the industry or he is full of shit. Please stop spreading these lies. It is NOT "inside info" nor is it truth.

Hey, just because he empties the trash at a convention center where there was a hobby show once doesn't mean he in not in the industry.

The whole HPI situation is just like Axial's situation: a handful of employees are likely the only ones who really know the truth and they're not telling. Anyone willing to talk to a random nobody about insider business is just slinging BS against the wall to see what sticks.

I am counting on i will have my HPI venture before next weekend.

And that's good as my TF 2 became totally un-driveable when i put on the Blazer body from RC4WD.
So ATM i have nothing to wheel, so i am so ready to get back in the lightweight trucks ( compared to the pretty heavy TF 2 )
