Pardon my ignorance, the crawler motors are pretty new to me, but whats with the cans on your motor like the Cobalt Puller 7t.

What is with the cans? Can you be more specific?

ell they seem to be open on the side to expose the commutator and brushes and so on, not the traditional enclosed can that I am used to seeing, just curious if it is just a different way to do things, if it cools better; just curiosity. Plan on picking up a couple of your motors for some projects I am working on, here nothing but good things about them.

There is no other way to make them, because of the way the motor is constructed. There must be an opening to install the brushes over the comm. You can use a wrap or two of electric tape to seal it if you wish.

They didn't come in today, so they should ship in tomorrow if UPS is on track. I have 50 more on schedule as well now in 55, 45, and 35t.

Mr holmes I have one of the old style torquemasters that just came in yesterday, Thank you very much BTW, and when i hooked it up it was turning in reverse. I had the positive to the red side of the can and the negative to the back. I tried reversing the channel on my radio and it went crazy. so i reprogramed the radio with the cannel reversed and it was working but i had a brake when going it reverse instead of forward. so i desoldered my deans plug and swithced the red tpo the negatice side and vise versa put my radio back to normal instead of reversed and now i have it turning in the right direction and i have a brack when going forward instead of when going in reverse, But my problem is it is way faster in reverse than forward. I hope this wasn;t to confusing and look forward to any help I can get.

The "faster in reverse than forward" issue could be due to your radio end-point adjustments not being set correctly, the ESC not being programmed properly, or the timing of the motor. If you are certain that the radio and ESC are set up properly, you can adjust the motor timing by loosening the two screws on the motor cap and rotating the cap relative to the can until the forward and reverse speeds are nearly the same.

the timing is set to zero according to the notches on the can. and I have reprogrammed the radio to the esc a few times. still it is faster in reverse than forwards.

It is probably in your radio or ESC then. What ESC?
