John, can any of your brushed motors handle 6s lipo? I seem to have a high-voltage fetish so with an esc like this I would have to try out the 6s capability.

I've been playing with 4s, higher turn motors seem to do well, just have to watch the arching.

Just got in a chunk of ESCs today. We didn't finish the Hold feature in time to make the firmware cut. It is too strong on 6s use.

XSRCdesign 12-01-2009 05:31 PM

Can't wait...

Half tempted to order up a waterproof one too.

JohnRobHolmes 12-01-2009 05:33 PM

I got a really good process for that now, and the sticker even sticks to the "case" too.

JohnRobHolmes 12-04-2009 08:27 AM

Got the ESCs all processed and such, backorders are going out today.

If you got the ESC waterproofed, it will take one to two extra days. I made the molds for bulk encasing two days ago, now they are cured and will be used today.

Awesome! When the new firmware comes out, will we be able to update our previous TMs? (I'm assuming so....)

JohnRobHolmes 12-04-2009 09:53 AM

Oh yeah, hook it up to Castle link when we get it done and rolled into Castle link. Currently we are on 1.02 firmware and testing 1.05. Most likely you will jump to 1.05 or 1.06 when it is done.

JeremyH 12-04-2009 10:55 AM

That's excellent news! Thanks for the update!

Could you post a picture of a waterproofed ESC? I'm starting to think I should have ordered mine that way. :|

yellowpasta2000 12-04-2009 04:57 PM

will this esc fry my 35t on a 6s?

53 willys 12-04-2009 05:47 PM

JRH how do you feel about...
2x HH BR-XL's
2x HH 7t puller's
4s lipo
and RC4WD MOA worm axles with a 30:1 ratio???
advice??
thanks8)

yukon635 12-04-2009 06:44 PM

Hey JRH, just placed an order for another one of your GREAT esc's "thumbsup" except this time, the waterproof for the scaler

One question. I saw the waterproof disclaimer about the warranty void after 60 days. I realize it would be hard to warranty electronics when they are coming in contact with water and what not but here is what I am wondering ...

1.) how is it sealed? 2.) is there anything that we as users can do to try and ensure that the waterproof seal stays good? Also got a pic of a waterproofed esc?

Thanks and looking forward to another spectacular Holmes product addition to my RC family "thumbsup"

Got the shipping confirmation for mine today.

That will be number 2. Thinking of pulling the trigger on a waterproof one while I still can.
