Even some original 35t motors love the new parts for the motors.

Looks good! Are those the new lightweight brushes :p

Here is a set of customs we built up for Nabil using the Green hoods. Turned out pretty dope looking!

John

I delete my first post as I was unsure I explained my question correctly.

Anywho

I was looking at metal ring this morning and it is threaded as I thought. My question is how well will this fiber ring hold a thread when tightening down?

Also have you had any issues with cracking due to stress?

We have had no issues with the rings cracking or losing threads. The stock steel rings are much easier to strip or bend actually. For a while we tested carbon fiber rings, and they didn't hold up well. Too brittle. Fiberglass is flexible and the fibers bend around the screw instead of breaking every time an adjustment is made.

Is the advantage of a brushed motor the price?

That and they have better low speed control and smoother start up. I for one also enjoy tinkering as much as possible so I like being able to take them apart for routine maintenance.
