Here is a pic for comparison. So are all the foams in my other tires too small? Edit: The Ironsides in my pic are mounted on the Method Roosts with the internal beadlock ring. Everything else is mounted on either glue wheels or conventional inner and outer beadlock wheels (think old school Axial beadlocks). I wonder if that has something to do with it? I had a set of the PBX A/T's mounted on axial beadlocks and they didn't balloon up. Untitled by JASON MCKIMMEY, on Flickr Last edited by JDM74; 08-04-2018 at 10:10 AM.

The weight of your RC should flatten out the tire some. If not the foams are too stiff. That's why I don't worry about the look much. On the bottom, where it counts, it should be flat. And yes, glue on wheels, without the inner ring, won't expand the foams as much as a beadlock wheels.

| Re: Jato The Ad Venture It bothers me for some reason. I guess I'm further towards the scale nerd end of the spectrum, lol. I still won't run a hard body though, ha.

| Re: Jato The Ad Venture Fair enough. You're not the only one it bothers. That drives other people crazy too. Different strokes for different folks. Once the truck is on the ground I don't notice it. Only up-close photos show those details. But I'm not a scale snob. You'll see battery wires in some of my up close photos. |

Nice truck though. I've also thought about picking one up, but haven't been fast enough on the draw yet to snag a used one for a good price...

The Incision hubs showed up in 2 days, technically less, from eBay like parts usually do. Take that "Prime"! I went with the narrowest Incision hubs to tuck the wheels and tires under the FJ body. Offset went from the stock 0.425" to 0.225". High level math would indicate that the track width will lose a total of 0.4" with these smaller hubs. Thankfully, I have a bunch of LockedUp RC and Gear Head scale hardware lying around so I used LURC mag style acorn nuts with 2/56 set screws. Mmm wheel porn! And here you can see that the track width was narrowed substantially. Looks great if I do say so myself. Now if only my damn D-rings would stay down! What do you guys think of the new look? |

I bought an SSD bumper to potentially put on this truck. Unfortunately, it didn't fit because it appears specific to the SCX10, but it did come with SSD's awesome stickers. SSD includes some of the coolest stickers because they are chrome. The bumper didn't fit, but I already have SSD links, C-hubs, and knuckles on this truck so let's show some SSD love. We all know chrome and stickers add horsepower to hot rods so this chrome sticker has to double the voltage from my 2S LiPo, right? I drove the truck around for a little tonight and I decided to remove some preload on the shocks in order to lower the truck. It seemed to work for the front, but the rear of the body sits higher despite the fact that the frame is level to the ground. I didn't try dropping the rear body posts, but I think that would drop the rear below the front. So, although it doesn't look it, I did change the suspension. Ahh I love a romantic sunset. |

Somebody makes a conversion front cross member that changes the bumper mounting hole width to that of the standard SCX10 bumper. It is a 3D printed part so strength might be an issue. I have never tried it though. The stock hole width matches the Axial Poison spider 2012 Jeep unlimited bumper (as can been seen on my Ambush one).
