The other nice thing about Avid is their bearings I usually pick up some when I order just to have a couple extra just in case one decides to go For a buck a bearing it's hard to pass up.

The grease you have at work is a possibility just not sure if it will swell the rings though

HPI must have been running low on body posts when they were making the first kits because mine only came with three. Oh well. As busy as I have been lately, I'll have time to pick up a set long before I get around to fitting a body on this thing.

I bought a SBK from the OPs ebay seller using the 15% coupon and had it in my hands 3 days later. Unreal faast shipping from half way around the world.

Yeah, guess that was a good buy. 3 weeks after I got mine and still finishing off, but then it's got a few mods. Battery tray is in progress.

I got off of my ass this weekend and put mine together. I skipped over the servo saver since I have no intention of using it. When I was done I discovered that my servo arm was hitting the frame rail when turning to the right, so I decided to put the servo saver together temporarily so that I could drive it around a little. Unfortunately, it was missing a piece. So now I have a mostly assembled truck that I can't steer or fit the body since I'm also short one body post. Hopefully HPI can get me replacement parts faster than they can get kits on the shelves.

I had the same issue when replacing my servo and horn. Simple fix with a couple small spacers and longer screws

Ha I was also missing part of the servo saver but didn't plan on using it anyway.

I took a different route to getting the servo arm to not hit. I carved a tiny bit off the bottom of the plastic bracket the arm hit then I shortened the steering link by 2mm. Doing that allowed me to get full throw before it hit the frame rail.

My brother unfortunately stripped out his Promodeler servo cause he didn't notice this issue. Also worth mentioning is the rebuild kit is like $35 so is a bit a wash as to whats better value, buy a new one or rebuild for half the price. Usually the rebuild kits are a lot more reasonable, like $15.

I got my SBK together enough to drive it yesterday and it does quite well on the rocks.

I ordered a Baja Rey servo arm. It looks like it will give me the clearance that I need. If not, there appears to be enough material there that I can file it down a little bit without causing any strength issues.

The arm I got with the Turnigy servo hits the frame. I have the complete servo saver, but not sure I want to use it unless i can lock it up.

Still not driveable yet either.

I just got word that my replacement body posts won't go out until the next warranty shipment to the US which won't be until next week. That's disappointing, but still better than trying to get replacement parts from Axial when Hobbico was going bankrupt. That took 4 months.

Don't even bring up that "A" word here . Received one last September as a BDay gift and what pile of garbage. It had so many issues I still haven't even ran it.

The Baja Rey servo arm was too short. I ended up using some 10-32 nuts as spacers and that did the trick.

Going to try the spacer trick like Jason. Got plenty spacers, so why not.

Pretty sure most know this but just in case there are folks new to the hobby, make sure you use some longer screws so there is plenty of threads in the hole.

Well that's good news. I haven't heard much from the new owners. Hopefully spare parts will be available.
