| Crawler King Hilux build!
Hay there I have been on a local site for a few months now as I started to learn about RC. My first car was a Crawler King back in March this year, needles to say its on its 3rd hand made chassis now, first 2 was crawlers and the weekend got the ladder chassis I design and built it over. Does anyone have advice as to how I can get a better steering angle on the wheels? I shaved away some plastic and it seems to work, just wondering if there is anything else that I can do my self. This is the result: Before: After: (hand made chassis with no measuring or straight cutting equipment) After After: (Self designed and lasercut) For ever after: Our trail in a friend 's backyard: Last edited by Wagenmeister; 10-23-2012 at 07:37 AM. |

Thanks man, my first ladder chasis. You wont recognize them as they are nitro truck shocks, just testing them to see if they are better than the stock WK shocks. |

Looks real good man. As far as getting more steering all you can do yourself is trim the knuckles for more clearance but it weekens them. Rcp crawlers makes some really good aluminum knuckles that have lots of clearance for steering. To get the most u would have to get cvd's from rcp and the high steer knuckles from rc4wd. Thanks allot guys was out for training yesterday. Love building these things, next Ill make a alu chassis for a TA 05 and make it rally capable. I did some trimming, dont know if I did it in the right place though, as for weakening it I dont think its that much off a deal as it doesnt take allot of strain. Going to the rocks the weekend to see how it fears |
