Thanks Scooter, I just finished installing a set of steel gears on the Scorpion King. 32 pitch 9 pinion with a 72 on the tranny shaft. Made it a lot slower and really helped with the motor stall. I can go strait up the wall in my kitchen with it now. Before it would not do that at all. I can't wait to hook it up on the rocks again. Because of the larger diameter of the tranny gear I had to install a 1/4" aluminum plate spacer under the tranny.

How did I miss this thread for so long!?!? I always go wheelin with my dad but my Jeep is always in pieces (imagine that) so I use one of his everywhere we go. He quickly earned the nickname "Pop" because of his driving style and role in my life. I bet I could talk him into r/c because it is about a whole $5 cheaper to build an rc crawler than a 1:1. :-P Keep the rigs coming JIA and JIA senior... I wish I had your camera - wanna trade my WK link mounts for your camera? huh, huh?? |
