Default Harley0706's "Goferit" WK Tuber Build

Project "Goferit"

As in "go for it" and Cole82's Gopher Frame

Well my WK build is getting kicked off finely!

I was going to do a BMVii inspired torsion build with the axles..................nah I can think of something better.

So I thought I would build a tube frame.........................Well I remembered a super simple design that I really liked. I remember Cole82 built it, so I looked his profile up and saw that he was now a vendor. Turns out he just started producing these frames! Perfect! I cruised around his site for a minute and took a close look at his frame that he now calls The Gopher. So I e-mailed him and had one ordered within 20 mins.

He sent me some teaser pics today, and said it would go out Monday.

It will be a full droop setup. This will be my first attempt at this type of suspension setup.

I am going to run a 12.5" WB using delrin links, built by Jeff at JWCustomwurks

The link mounts will be my new ones that will also soon be available through The Crawler Store's new website. Here is the "Press Release" for them.

I am going to be running an RC4WD R2 transmission.
Power will come from another brushless setup like I have in my TLT BMVii build, available again through The Crawler Store, along with the Mamba 25 controller.

**edit** Motor plans were changed to try something new, and to match the color scheme **edit**

The shocks are Hot Bodies blue aluminum model used on the T Maxx.

The wheel and tire package will be coming in the form of matte black Axial Beadlocks, blue Axial Rock Rings, and 2.2 Proline Moabs.

I all the important parts in hand on in the mail, this should be up and running by the end of the week.

Well what do you all think?

The only "panels" per say are/is the hood. I had two hoods made for it. One I will just paint as I see fit and the other will be passed of to Brandon a.k.a. NLuvwithxlr8ing to do something kick a$$. I don't know what the paint on the hood will be, but if he does it it will look GOOD!

Thanks for the congrats on the link mounts! Look for a bunch of new WK products for the WK soon at The Crawler Store

This will also be used on this build. My copy should be here monday. And of course the template is still available to make your own here

The servo plate will be modified to work with the link mounts when they come in of course.

damn right!

Coles frame and all the new Crawler Store products will make this truck pretty sick.

I can't wait to get this rig going!

I have talked to several of you WK owners, and exchanged a lot of e-mails with a lot of you also. I hope these new products will benefit all of us and make for some great looking and performing rigs.

I hope once I get it running even more ideas will come to me.

This will be the modified servo mount design to work with the new link mounts.

JIA's dad and Clarkrw3 made a two piece designe, I think they were pretty happy with it. I could draw one quick if people wanted it.

Add the suggestion to the template thread, if there is any interest I will throw another template up for you guys

I love mine...it works great and most likely the easiest thing I have ever fabbed. It is super stable and holds a 8 cell 2/3a pack no problem, here are a couple of photos from my thread.

I am not sure where I am going to run my batteries in this truck, can't wait to get it here though! Come on snail mail!

I still like to keep the axles relatively clean looking, but if there is no other riable option I will mount them on there.

I am going to switch my choice of motors.

Two reasons why, for one it is Blue (can you tell I am trying to go with a blue theme ), and for two it is the other brushless motor Kevin sells at The Crawler Store.

A new part is added to the list:

The Crawler Store
Wheely King Diff Lockers
All of my parts have been next day aired to me, so everything will be here tomorrow!

**Edit** New rates held the chassis to 3 day mail **Edit**

I'm giddy as a school girl!

**Not quite as giddy, but it will come**
