yeah, i have a pic somewhere but with the old rc4wd winches and the new integy winches you buy 2 of them, and then just run the motor units on both sides. reversing polarity of one of the motors.

couple guys here have done it.

hey RICK!

might be too late but it just occured to me if you are making new spools, maybe make them a bit skinnier so i can fit more winchline on.

if too late, nbd.

I have the locked up stuff. Not really sure how it holds up I've only used my winch maybe 4 or 5 times. It looks good though I have the silver.

i still really like the mcmaster stainless cable i run on timmy. its absolutely bulletproof, and supple considering its woven steel braid. i would run that on all my trucks, but you need a big servo spool like i have on timmy since it takes up so much room.

the locked up stuff is good, but i think my next stuff will be just going to a fishing store and picking up some spiderwire or that dyneema stuff. i want a spool of 200' and just be done with it.

way way back i had some funky flat kevlar cable that was made for rc boats on my f350. that shit was actually REALLY tough and you could probably fit 30-40 feet on a 3racing or rc4wd winch. that was around 6 or so years ago? i think i got it off tower...

My McMaster cable (on both rigs, worse on Hera) keeps falling off the spool... not evertime but the more I use it w/o rewinding it, like during a comp, the more likely it is to fall off and then it kinks. Plus, I just can't fit enough on the spool.

I've had to unhook it from the front bumper in order to reach an anchor point a few times... just leaving the snatch block hanging on the line not doing anything.
Not very scale.
