whaaat??? Didn't know about those. Do they keep the internal gears from loosening?

Edit: No, they don't. I never had one back off with the old shaft style. My issue has always been with the internal gears, not the driveshaft connection. I used red loctite this time so hopefully the internals will hold.

man i wish they would pin the inside of the shafts as well… in any case the pinned outputs are one less thing to worry about. i also have problems with the set screws on the gears loosening up, ive considered brazing the gears onto the shafts…

ive used red loctite everytime, and sooner or later they eventually loosen up.

You know I could probably drill those shafts to accept a pinned grub screw with my drill press. We'd have to shorten the pin portion but that would be easy. I may see how she does this time and then drill those next time I have it apart.

I may be up for something.. Gotta get some stuff finished up. My RPP order should be here today. Man, that Kenosha spot is lookin' mighty fine in those recent pics Mike took. How is the lake front lately? Don't they shut that down or something?

It's been a blast last few times we were out there.
They charge admission and you aren't allowed on the rocks once beach season starts. We got a l while yet.

We can eat/drink at my place after too... Susan will be out of town.

I went and looked at an apartment near the Foster spot 2 days ago.
It was nice but a little far from the L for my liking...
Trying to decide where to live kinda sucks.
