Just the board, coat it good both sides. The rest will be fine. Electric motor cleaner will remove the grease if you need to.

It's a random Ravine that other guys in the group found. It's a good spot. It's on Munger rd. by where it turns from Naperville rd to Munger

Seems like a lot of us are having waterproof issues lately. I got all the coating off the case of my servo. Going to send it in. When i opened up my electronics box there was also a small amount of water in it luckily my esc and receiver are working, which is what I thought was fried initially.

i dunno... im happy to disclose what i do but with making something waterproof there are risks and i just cant be 100% sure its gonna work as it should.

doing it free for friends is alot different than charging customers.

I think I'm going to go with treys method on my servos so I can still use the warranty if needed. I would imagine plasti dip would be ok to use as well since it can be peeled off ?

fallout 3 is one of my like top 3 games ever...

last of us isnt so much a shoot at everything kinda of game, more like a graphic novel you play though. epic game tho as long as you dont spoil it and know how it ends before you play.

make sure to get the servo pot as well. thats the most sensitive part on the inside from my experience. when you have the servo open just put a dab on top of it to keep water from being able to get inside it or condense inside it.

also make sure to put grease around the bottom of the servo horn to keep water from getting in through the splines and into the gears. the gears arent so much a worry to get wet, but the servo pot is right there.

at the ecsc i had to make a last minute switch on my c2 servo, and didnt have time to conformal it, so i just went over the outside with liquid e-tape, did a decent job too... but go figure on c2 day water got inside and messed with the servo pot.

i was lucky to make it through the event before it started acting way up and glitching full left.

new 7990 servo has a magnetic servo pot which will hopefully be introduced into the other servos. much more resilient to water than the mechanical one.

damn, little man complex for sure there. ive only been on the metra once but ive heard about the quiet cars.

i wish more people would be confronational with assholes like that. it seems (at least in chicago) that if you call somebody out for being a self absorbed bimbo, you are the asshole for being confrontational.

I've had good luck until this happened and of course now it happens when I have the 7954 which is the servo I want. Do you have any experience waterproofing the Novak mongoose systems it's a sensored brushless set up ? It's what I'm going to run in my C1 rig eventually.

i had a novak goat 3s with the 18.5 motor that i conformal'd just to drop into a jar of water as a test. never got to testing it and i recently sold it (for 30 bucks...) at the ecsc.

only things ive ever waterproofed (and tested) are pro4 motors, rx's, mmp's and rs esc's. also castle bec's and axial light controllers...

just take the plunge and buy a can of conformal coating. its really easy. i use the quick dry tech-spray stuff.
