NIRC Summer Series TTC Qualifier!

This will be for the Summer Series that will happen before the 2012 TTC!

Summer Series Dates:
Day1 = 4-29-12 (sun) @ Busse. 9:30am setup ,10am start
Day2 = 5-27-12 (sun) @ Roselle. 9:30am setup ,10am start
Day3 = 6-10-12 (sun) @ Cancelled! Make-Up Date TBD.
Day4 = 6-17-12 (sun) @ Foster. 9:30am setup ,10am start
Day5 = 7-22-12 (sun) @ Roselle. 9:30am setup ,10am start
Day6 =
Day7 =

Summer Series Truck Classes:
Class3 & Class2 (We'll have to do something special for Class1 on another date)

TTC Points Bonuses:
This series will double as a Qualifier for the TTC.
There will be points bonuses that will be applied to the TTC 1st day scores for each series finisher. Obviously, placing 1st in this series will give you the best points bonus. The points bonuses will be small.. just enough to give a very slight advantage to top finishers on the first event of the TTC and to give something to go after!

I was thinking that we could do something like...

(Based on 10 trucks in the series)
1st place = -10pts
2nd place = -9pts
5th place = -5pts
10th place = -1pt

So, depending on how many trucks are in the competition.. the points bonuses will be applied accordingly as shown above.





There will be plenty of competitions and GTG's this summer to keep us busy!

Edit: 4-28-12 is the first date of competition!

What do you guys think? Want to officially start this thing up on 4-22-12?
That should leave plenty of time to get your rigs finished for competition.
We can do a GTG or two before then

You guys know the 28th is a saturday, right? You cool with that or want to do sunday the 29th?

I updated the 1st post with more dates. Itll be every two weeks to fit GTG's in between. Looks like it will be a 5 date series. What do you think? Then we can have a short break and do the TTC in August.

I was walking my dogs when I posted the 28th...

I'm basically ready to start... I just don't have the tires I want yet.

Ok, I adjusted the dates. 6 events. Some are 1 week apart, some are 2 weeks apart. Couple saturdays, one of those sundays is fathers day. We can decided the day before a saturday event if we want to switch it to sunday the day after.

looks like my class 3 will be a wraith. doubtfull i'll get lemonade done in time and dont want to be handcuffed to its setup the whole season.

I believe Roselle is next in rotation but, It's not set in stone..if we all agree on a different location.

Melons may start out on my 1.9 Pit Bulls unless I get some gap filling CA glue for the TSL's before the first comp.
The cut n shut TSL's look great but I'm not sure they'll hold together.

If not, I think I'll run 1.9 IROK's.

The dig is installed and works great (not that it's legal in C2)
I ended up shortening the wb .25"
I think I have it geared to high at the moment, the 55t doesn't feel like it has as much torque as it should. I want to get a crawlmaster to replace it.


I have a panhard on the way for Hera.
Thursday I should have my bec's installed.
That's about it for Hera...

Saydee was maintaining a thread for the Polar Series but we never updated it after he quit.

I think we have to keep the comps posted and updated if we ever want to become sanctioned... I believe I read that someplace.

You need to buy tire glue. CA is hard and brittle.

I already have that but there are gaps.
I'm getting better at it with each tire but the first couple have major gaps in them.

Waiting on brushed systems from H H ordered on the 11th should be here by the 29th. Have brushless in Wraith but if we are running at Busse i do not see myself having any problems seeing that i ran in the snow there. Are we running C1?
